Its funny how some posters here call other "retards" and post funny images when the idea of selling Marchisio is presented... without even backing the counter argument with a proper idea.

If we are being objective and realist, Marchisio being sold for 30 mils is a super business. So stop being attached just for the sake of it, and be objective guys.

About his quality, he is indeed a good player, but nothing special in comparison to what Pogba can be, (and even is right now).
Years ago i also wanted marchesio to rock our shirt and be one of the best.. but he right now is at his peak and will not get any better.

If no offer comes, or if weak offers come.. theres no point in selling him, as he is a good asset to our team and is a youth product.... but lets not get carried away by those feelings shall we?.

About Marrone.... he has not shown anything marvelous with us.... but hey, the guy has played almost nothing under Conte and not even in his preferred position.... so we need to see this guy in a complete season as a midfielder before totally discarding him. In comparison with the likes of Giovinco and Marchisio.... we cannot even judge marrone because he never ever plays. He definitely should be loaned or co-owned.

defensively better ? seriously, whoever said that should just hang himself and raise the global iq
I think you are mistaking Marchisio with vidal , Zaheryah. The guy you see tackling everyone left and right in games is Vidal, not Marchisio.

Seriously, Pogba is great, yes he has a higher potential, but he absolutely isnt there yet.

as its stands, conte will only play him when guarded by marchisio and vidal, cause apart from long shots and heading, marchisio is superior in everything.

seriously people, get a grip.

and i am not attached. for a better player of his type i'd deal. But we cant replace marchisio by a better player cause they are both under insane contracts

If we can push the price up to €30 mill, and add another 15 mill, we can sign a very good striker. We'll hardly even notice that Marchisio is gone.
I would sell him for 25M. I'm nervous about Pogba's ambitions and I'd rather him be a first choice player right away to calm his possible intentions to leave.

Plus, he is miles ahead of where Marchisio was at that age. It's almost certain that he'll end up better than Marchisio, if he isn't already.

Marchisio's value will never be higher and he's likely peaked (although that's not certain of course). So if we were ever to sell him, it should be now, especially with a direct replacement already on our squad and the possibility to use that money for a more pressing need (attackers).

Basically it comes down to whether you want to sell him at all or never. Because if you want to sell, really it should be now.
Agreed.

If I had a gun to my face and I had to choose between selling Vidal and Marchisio for fair value (Vidal approx. 1.7x as much as Marchisio) I'd rather sell Vidal. You don't sell a player that embodies the spirit of the club as Marchisio does for Juventus.
