Are you blaming him for the first goal? Please say no.

And the 2nd was offside
I don't see us agreeing on the :gsol: deflected shot :gsol:. So leet's leave it out.

The second goal didn't matter if it was offside, he could have punshed it out to a corner, instead of putting it back on play.

I was joking anyway. Buffon had part in both of Bayern goals.

The first one he was on the ground way too fast which stopped him from changing his direction. What's weird that's exactly the part of goalkeeping Buffon is the best in the world at and almost never fails at. Seemed to me like his mind wasn't in the game yet.

he saved the ball on the second, bad defending after that lead to the goal

Let's be frank he is nowhere near the player he was last season. And the same is true for Pirlo.

Pogba probably deserves it, but I fully understand why he didn't play in such a difficult match.

I'm not giving out any merit badges for this match. Even Vidal, our most redeemable player on the night, got himself a seat on the bench for next time.

Vidal had a much better game both offensively and defensively. Pirlo was involved and awful, Marchisio didn't even try to take incentive until the last 5 minutes, I honestly don't know what's worse. We gave all control to Bayern because our midfield lost their battles, Peluso-Marchisio-Pirlo part of the midfield was particularly sad.
I agree for the most part but to me the wrong part was fielding Peluso who got his hands full especially since Robben came on. You can see that most of Bayern dangerous attacks on Claudio's side was Robben (who's in fact a left footed player) dribbling ball to the goal line, had Claudio didn't give at least decent cover on his side Robben would cut inside, but he didn't for the most part of the game.

Kneejerks, this was Marchisio's first bad game in a long time. Don't let the others condition your minds.
He was bad but as always it got blown out of proportions.

First bad game, I agree but Pogba still showed to be in better form in the last few matches.
Alright but since when being "in a better form in the last few matches" which is not exactly a great form either warrants a starting spot for a 20 yo newcomer? Pogba is a reliable sub who will gradually find his regular spot in the team if he keeps up the promising form but he is still far behind Marchisio.

Pogba has been in great form tho. I can't think of anything bad from any match he's played for us.

I'm not saying he's the better player, Pogba has to be consistently better on a larger scale of time, a lot larger.

Regardless of the age, the players who shows better form should play.
