you will not get a better guy to sit on the bench with the 20m that you might get for him, it will be foolish to sell him unless you get a huge offer

off topic, how much did hernanes cost inter?

When Marchisio is 36 and close to retiring, people here will still say "remember that half seaon in 2011-2012? marchisio was so good"

that's his highlight of career.

It's already lol at this point. He's 27yo and as one good season behind him.

TBH I don't mind seeing him on the bench. If I'm taking him as a sub then I don't have absolutely anything against that, he's good enough for that -- which was always my point -- to see him as our starting XI player. He's surely not good enough to be a starter here. It's been years since people say 'did you see how he played yesterday, it's his best position'. Just recently he had a one good match in Pirlo's position and people started saying THAT is his best position. But seriously, he's 27yo and people can't decide where he should be played? Only that indicates he's not a starting material.

I wouldn't mind selling him if that means getting a good winger so we can switch to 4-3-3, as we already have Asamoah who can play in the middle, so we don't have to chase his replacement. And please, don't start that shit like 'Asamoah can't replace Pirlo'. Neither can Marchisio and us playing doesn't require a regista, we can totally play with Vidal - Asamoah - Pogba if we have offensive wingers.

So as long as he's not a starter I'm pretty much fine with that.

And that's the best our youth investments have delivered in 20 years. Amazing that people think we're going to be fielding Berardi-Immobile-etc-etc in our starting lineup in a couple of years.
Exactly. We might bring one back (that's one big ass might) but like I said before -- I believe we're gonna use most of those players, if not all, for swap deals within Serie A.

Just yesterday people complained about us not having enough decent back-up CMs and you want to sell the one and only one we have? Even if we were to switch to a 4-3-3 and Conte begins seeing Asamoah as a CM, a scenario for which there is no real basis, Kwadwo alone is also not enough. We'd again have 4 players for 3 positions. Add to that the ever impending risk of Pirlos age and the idea of selling Marchisio doesn't seem that good anymore at all.

People asked for more CMs, I didn't. People also think Pirlo is not good enough for us anymore. When he plays one great match people say he's brilliant and when he doesn't show up they say we shouldn't extend his contract.

Kwadwo alone is not enough? You do realize we'd replace Marchisio with Asamoah and we'd have the same amount of players we do now?

Yes, and that is not enough, as we for example saw just a few months ago at the beginning of december. Just imagine one of our midfielders to get mildly injured for 3-4 weeks, and the remaining three would have to play all games without rest, or we'd have to see Padoin starting.

I do not think Pirlo is not good enough for Juve anymore, he is still a very valuable asset and probably the best regista in the world, it is just that at his age we can not really count on him to still be on the same level in 6 months, he is more prone to injuries and has a harder time recovering from those. Maybe none of these cases happen and he'll still be the same in two years time, but we defenitely have to account for different outcomes.

What Dule is trying to say IS that Marchisio is a good back uo, but if a good offer comes in, like say 20 million, he should be sold.

No, Juve don't need to pay 20 million for a back up. The already co-own biang who is quite prmosing, and has a higher ceiling than Marchisio. There wil be other market opportunities as welll
