Chiello did great in that situation. Like you said, Ronaldo is the fastest, but what hapenned there was a simple tussle for the ball. Yes, i admit a foul existed and Chiello used his hands a bit, but that was not a straight red in any reality or in any part of the world, only in the eyes of tonights referee. Even my madrista friends said the same thing. The referee destroyed the game.

i see it this way, chiellini gave ronaldo the opportunity to get him, if ronaldo gets past him it's clearly a gol scoring opportunity so slapping him in the face is an invitation to just fall

only thing i wish he could take back were the yellows on vidal and caceres, but the former did a lot of 50/50 tackles all night

even the english pundits mocked ronaldo for his roll and peeked through his hands in search for the ref, the stupid fucker was holding the right side of his face initially when 'contact' was made on his left utterly bullshit, should have known better than germans cannot officiate football matches, especially since they give goals to shots off target as leverkusen proved last weekend
