You'd like it, won't you?
I'd absolutely love it. The sheer arrogance.. Going to Madrid to play a CL semfinal and not even be bothered enough to play your best players.. It would be awesome :D.

In all seriousness, even if I doubt Pirlo is the right choice for this particular game it does wonders for our image in Europe. Had we benched him everyone would have called us a scared, defensive Italian team. The fact we play him shows we've got balls. In that sense it could pan out well tactically, because Madrid would have smelled the fear.

Allegri needs to drop Pirlo, it can not be said any more. When Pirlo is closed down he is to prone to error's so he would be much better coming on in the second half when the energy levels of the Madrid players is lower that way he can get more space for himself to control the game.

But we have Pogba so why would we play Sturaro now?

I suppose we'd play him if we want a harder tackling midfield. Pogba would still play. But I agree that the need for Sturaro isn't there as much, because Pogba excells at getting the ball back.

I'd personally drop Pirlo and move Marchisio as DM, Pogba instead of Claudio, Vidal instead of Sturaro and Pereyra instead of Vidal. :D

So much this, Pirlo is so useless. It can't be more obvious, yet he will start in the biggest Juve game in 12 years.

Not sure I like Marchisio as a DM. I think he has done well in a bit more attacking role. Which I did not see coming by the way.

Really? That's strange. IMO it's safe to say he's been world class as DM this season. He's "just" very good as CM.

Depends on how you define DM/CM I suppose. What I mean is I like him in a more dynamic role.
I prefer giving that role to Vidal and Pogba instead. I believe they shine more in that position, especially since they don't need to cover as much as with Pirlo defensively. Plus Marchisio has better passing ability ( @Hustini ) too for that role.

Maybe. I was impressed with Vidal last week, but I guess that's also because he finally looks truly injury free. Either way I think Marchisio, Pogba and Vidal should have enough intelligence to make for a dynamic midfield. I'm sure they'll change positions when necessary.

And we'll also have Asamoah back soon.

Exactly.

If Sturaro starts Allegri is probably trying to absolutely crush Madrd's midfield physically.

Arrivati a Madrid.
Out of nowhere.

Could be, but I'd personally go with Pogba who can create something out of nothing. We badly need a goal.

But I trust Allegri more in this case. I'm not sure about how fit Pogba is.

Aren't rumors saying that Sturaro would play instead of Pirlo?

Pogba is a no-brainer.
