Yet another very odd game.

Our approach is just too lethargic at times. Or even for the most part.
And then, all of a sudden, you get to see small glimpses of what we should be capable of. We're obviously not going to outplay PSG, but I really don't think it's impossible for us, or any team for that matter, to get a result against them.

Cuadrado & especially Bonucci were terrible though. And that's a major problem, because we currently do need them.

They didnt put the foot off the gas. They just positioned themselves badly which let us have a bit of a chance. We scored one but it wasnt enough.
They could still score another one against us as lets be honest here - even if we play well and control a bit, their one chance is far more lethal than our chances...
In the end it was the right result and PSG are clearly a superior side.
I expected them to run us over but they had it a bit more difficult than I expected but they still won.

2-0 is one of the worst scorelines to play to, unless you are one of those flat track pressing teams who go at 100mph, because it is easy to become apprehensive and not risk as much.

It suits the narrative well to say we only got back in it because they let us. PSG would also treat us with more respect than smaller clubs and be cautious. After all, they have a soft underbelly and it showed again.

In the French league, they give away a lot of chances because the front 3 do come back but don't tackle, they're looking to counter always. They've conceded 4 in 6 games, one of those games was 7-0. I think they'll get exposed by better teams, I expect Benfica to score against them.
