That line-up above is pretty much 99% what we'll play. Only variables that reasonably could break the 11 are Kulu, Demiral and Chiellini, and, even though I'd like to see Demiral-De Ligt, I don't think we will.

I would be extremely surprised if Chielleni is on the bench, barring some fitness issue. Fully expect Pirlo to go with a Bonucci Chielleni backline if both are a 100%.

I think when both have started this season, we have conceded zero goals. So there is a case for starting them, even though De Ligt is the superior defender.

Chiellini should only play one game a week.

I worry about Pepe, he will be whispering bad things into Ronaldo's ears to get a reaction. He won't need to do that to Morata though, man is on a dry spell like the rest of the rest of the team. Only the ultra attacking teams have been able to reverse first leg defeats and a few one-off exceptional performances. We're not ultra attacking and we're far away from exceptional. Clean sheet and an away goal would be a great result, a loss would be terrible because they'll come to Italy and park the bus so pretty much game over. There is no real home advantage apart from less travel. Imagine if a low probability team win the CL and have no fans in the stadium to celebrate, sucks.

seriously need to drop bumucci permanently if anything.
He should be gradually phased out, but we need him at the moment as the last match proved that no one was able to place a long ball forward and spread play. He is the only person capable of doing that right now.

He is just stubbornly dense for the sake of it. He could stopped at saying its not one tie anymore as it was temporarily for last season playoffs. But every single round of the playoffs are called the knockout rounds, with two ties. Emphasis on knockouts, because only one team goes through. Like why would you even try to deny this. Weird misuse of semantics. Whether its 1 or 2 ties, its a knockout round.
He can say "yea, it's a knockout ROUND, but not a knockout GAME".

I don't even think bumucci is good at playing from the back anymore, every time he pings a long ball over the top it's misplaced. Infact I don't think he's hit a long accurate ball forward since the ronaldo vs man utd goal
