i think it starts with our traditional prioritizing of the league first, secondly most of our players didnt play in europe till their mid 20s so they are not used to it, notice how morata was one of the players who played the most comfortable tonight
Tonight, the second part was only true for 3 players: Bonucci, Ogbonna and Licht. A lot of smaller clubs over-achieve with little Euro experience.

Don't think we need wingers as much as we need a formation change. The 352 really needs to be retired and put in a glass case somewhere in the Juventus museum. It's a relic at this point.

It's like going into modern day battle with a German WWII Tiger tank. Might have worked well once before, but now its time to let it go.

Sorta like Socialism. Worked once, in some deranged democrats mind and failed to materialize into anything other than debt heavy system.

Time to move on. :D

But any worthwhile formation uses wingers, so if we change from 3-5-2 with no wingers our best bet is a 4-3-1-2. A more attack heavy variation of a useless, old as fuck system.

Ogbonna is one of the biggest flops after Amauri era.Ultra bad positioning, not good technique, bad passing, bad shot on the goal ,can not score.Caceres is miles above him.

I really don't think it's a player issue, this European issue really is a managerial issue. Although the players certainly don't step up enough.

The thing with Europe is we aren't an elite club, in serie a we can be arrogant and play in our own way, because were the best and our opponents are scared of us. In Europe no one is scared of us, even malmo showed that. Teams study us and come at us with a game plan. But we go out with the same tactics and mentality against anyone home or abroad.

Did we tactically approach malmo any different than athletico? Or any different than tonight? No
It's just the same old game plan week in week out.

We'll draw at home to Oly, lose to Atletico and lose to Malmo.

Allegri is not the type of coach that knows how to get a team to bounce back from mental set backs. Remember the year Milan gifted us Serie A, it was only minor mental setbacks that ruined their season.

We started really dictating the game at the end with the formation change. We created more chances in the last 15-20 mins than the last CL game and the game today up until that point.

Like I said, our finished cost us the game today. Their goalie is the only reason they got 3 points IMO.

This was the same bullshit as last year in the cl. I don't understand what itll take to change the formation.
