The only way we might have hope for this game is to play with this:

Buffon
Zambrotta Thuram Cannavaro Chiellini
Emerson
Mutu Nedved
Del Piero
Trezeguet Zlatan

Zambrotta and Chiellini have to work defensively with no forward runs just to control the flanks. Recovering the balls from the sides should be used to feed the creative players Mutu and Nedved to build up the game. Same goes for Emerson whose job in the middle.
You know what? Charlton did use a similar tactic with us a couple fo weeks back too (playing a striker in midfield...load up the midfield with attackers)....and you know what happened? :weee:

 dont think he would be happy to have another fellow arsenal fan slating him.
I wasn't really slating him TBH.

Jeez one match in which he was horrible? that makes toure better. So your telling me toure has been superb in every match he has played all season right? well the match against blackburn comes in mind. And if you want to look at his performance from january onwards yeah his been good especially as fair bit of that time was spent in the ACN. Before january not going too far back the match against newcastle and the match against wigan where although arsenal won 3-2. Both goals conceded by arsenal had kolo written all over it.
I don't think it's one match. Milan conceded quite a few goals around that period and while some of them were because of Khaladze\Dida\whoever else, some of them were Nesta's fault. Also, I don't think Toure has been better this season that Nesta just because of that one game. Toure was good from August, not from January. When did Toure make the mistake vs. Blackburn? Was it the goal in which Bellamy made a fool out of Senderos? The Wigan game I don't really remember and the Newcastle game, I don't really remember what he did wrong there but I do remember we were down to ten men. If you still choose to see the Blackburn goal as Toure's mistake the fine. I see it as him not being able to cover up for the other defensive players' defensive mistakes anymore. Especially since Bellamy wouldn't have been able to cross it in the first place if Senderos didn't make his horrible mistake.

I guess u want some more praising aww. well I admire your coach and also van persie who is a great player with potential. does that help? or do you want more?
Not really, I'm just saying that saying Henry is world class is like saying cucumbers are green. It's redundant and fairly obvious to anyone who isn't blind and doesn't prove you're unbiased or anything of the sort.

If you actually read the context properly you would see that we aint all poor in ever CL match but yes we were awful against you. There are certain matches where we have played good and thats why i pointed out at the group stages. Jeez. :faq1:
I'm too lazy to go all the way back and read the context but if that was why then okay, my comment may have been out of line. :p

The point being we can play good be it against whoever. Club brugge were a decent side and no doubt you had the arguably most easiest of group. As for the bayern game, we wernt have as bad as the way we played against you, which shows we aint consistently shit!.
Club Brugge aren't really a force to be reckoned with if you know what I mean. I'd rate Ajax at their level and nobody's rating Arsenal based on their performances vs. Ajax. I never said that you're consistently shit because I don't believe it, I just believe you've been really bad for quite a while now and that just because you've been grinding out results in Serie A for quite a while, doesn't mean you can do the same vs. Arsenal.

we have won many matches without viera this season, so you point above doesnt make no sense :disagree: and certainly cannot be applied to the context. Also last season we won many CL games without viera, simply because we never had him, so stop coming out with garbage.
The point wasn't supposed to make sense. However, he wasn't even playing for Juve last year which makes your counter-point pretty irrelevant I would think. Blasi\Techinardi\whoever all had played many more games last year to be able to play well while Giannicheda hasn't really played too many games this season and therefore I'd assume isn't in great form (and he isn't that great of a player in the first place, I don't think). Also, a valid point which can be made is that Vieira's presence in a side is very important and who knows that better than I do. Even if his performance his shit, his presence on the pitch is still important.

Yes he was our best player, but even he didnt play at his best. Notice that when one player plays good and the other doesnt its obvious he cant always come up and cross especially as he didnt even get any help from mutu. Also zambrotta was a left back to come up and cause some problems for eboue says enough. One things for sure we never saw eboue coming that often up against us simply because there was a fear amongst arsenal that if he did leave his position they would concede.
So everybody in the Juve team played shit vs. us? Do you reckon it could possibly be because Arsenal played well or just because Juve were on an off night\out of form. People have been degrading our achievements every time for another excuse (Madrid - bad season even though they were in great form before playing us, Juve - bad form even though you were favorites vs. us, Liverpool - they're strikers scored one goal after the New Year when playing us). It's really annoying. This argument is pretty pointless though, I know, as it's like who came first, the chicken or the egg? I believe the bad Juve performance was caused by Arsenal's great performance who outclassed them while you may think that Juve's out-of-form players made Arsenal look good.

Eboue is great. End of. We definitely weren't watching the same match if you think that Zambrotta won the match up vs. him. Zambrotta's gonna cause a problem for any defence in the world and Eboue handled him superbly. You're right, it does say enough, seeing how he dealt with Zambo shows how great he is. Also, you're saying he didn't come up often? I suggest you consider rewatching the game as that's plain wrong.

My guess is that Juve was established in 1897. Still, you didn't answer his question seeing how no matter how much you would like to be the Juventus Football Club, you are a mere mortal and not an entity.

ok guys...it's almost time.
we are almost sure to win the championship, but more wants more, right.
should we lose to arsenal, the season would not feel complete, but the closer we get to the game the more i'm confident we'll make it through.
surely hope that the loss against gunners was the wake-up call that the team needed. i think a lot of the players will show the right attitude for the coming match, perhaps for several players it will be their last chance to win the CL. not exactly the youngest team out there, and some players will leave after this season and go to a team that won't be as strong as this one.

we will be without zebina, camo and vieira...well ok, i have chosen to look at it as being positive.
zebina doesn't belong here, he doesn's play with his heart the right place.
camo, well he could use a break since his performance didn't exactly qualify him for the coming match.
vieira played like he didn't want to hurt his old friends, besides he plays a bit slow and obviously they will go for counter-attacks. we'll only miss him for corners and free-kicks

neddy will be back, desperate to win, exactly the mentality we need.
mutu will play instead of camo and we need goals, he could be the man
and finally god himself, del piero will come in instead of ibra. he will play with heart and lead us, scoring on a amazing free-kick which will bring us to the semis.

we believe in you, make us proud

Any news on the starting 11?

I'd love Capello to start like this (3-4-1-2...we don't need 4 defenders for 1 forward, but we do need an extra midfielder)

Buffon

Thuram
Cannavaro
Kovac

Zambrotta
Emerson
Giannichedda
Nedved

DP (Mutu if DP is not ready)

Ibrahimovic (played well on 1st half on Sat)
Trezeguet

This starting 11 would allow also great flexibility during the match should the score change.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that we will start like this......
usual 4-4-2

Buffon
Zambrotta
Cannavaro
Thuram
Chiellini

Mutu (right wing is much worse than left wing :( )
Emerson
Giannichedda
Nedved

Ibrahimovic
Trezeguet
....expect many of those loooong balls....
