What about barca's penalty where lichtsteiner touched the ball?
his arm was close to the body. Never penalty in that case.
First the kick just outside the box where Alba fouled Pogba = not given and Pirlo is mighty from that position.
Second the penalty not given.
Plus all the actings by the Barcellona players and refree always awarded them! Sending such a pussy refree with actors like them. They wanted it to go to Barca no matter what.
We were underdog, few chances and almost impossible vs Messi to that add the refree.

I'd loved a english refree you know the bald police officer

My point is that I didn't feel like the ref favored them. UEFA needs to come up with after game sanctions for dives but so far they're perfectly ok with letting that be a part of the game. It's hard to tell dives in real life and not slow mo.

Now after almost a day afterwards, I am sad but not as much as I was last night. The only thoughts running in my head is if we will be able to stay on our game and make another final next season.

No person with the slightest football knowledge would think it was a penalty. Even Barca fans I know didn't. I'm not saying the ref wanted to favor them, but I believe his big mistake did indeed decide the game.

The ref might hasnt been 100% correct but he wasnt a bad ref!
Yes we did deserve a penalty but it wasnt such an easy call when you see it during play without the monitor in your face!
As for Pirlo free kick yes it could have been a goal but also could be just another free kick that goes straight to the wall or out
You can moan as much as you want but the truth is - We gave our best and we lost!
Next year I want to see our Juve get up pick up some nice stars and kick the living hell out of teams in europe and not just barely go past the group stage and barely go past Monaco
I want to see us dominate all the way and I want to see us take revenge on Barca!
Is it possible?! Yes it is!
We are differently built than Barca
They are more about technique while we are stronger in terms of physique so with a bit more firepower we could have took this game!

If only I had one wish (for transfer) I`d go for James Rodriguez!
He is exactly what we need! Fast Great Dribbler Great movement awesome link up fantastic finisher!

Well he must have a 100 inches monitor on his head if needed and spot everything if he was capable to be elected to be main referee in the most important match in Europe(at least).
How he spot all that fouls against Messi and co. and not three times against Pogba?
And I don't rate Rodriguez much.I will go for a player like Pjanic(although I hate him personally as a Roma player).

It wasn't exclusively the penalty. It was the fact that in a 20 minute span he didn't call 3 clear fouls on Pogba, not one of which looked like a dive. As I've said, missing 1 of them, even 2 would be reasonable, but to miss all 3 of them is a disgraceful performance by a referee, especially considering the ridiculous fouls he was calling in Barca's favour in terms of Neymar and Suarez dives. He was calling every little bit of contact a foul in our direction, and did not do the same at all against Barca.

Seriously, some people seem so desperate to sound objective that they go to the ridiculous extreme in the other direction.

I don't think many of us are saying we dominated the game and deserved to win as it played out. Barca was stronger and deserved their win based upon how the game turned out.

...but, and this is a huge "but", the ref made 2 decisions that completely nullified our best portion of the game and handed all momentum back to Barca. It was 1-1. He doesn't call a clear penalty. And then he doesn't call a clear foul on Pogba which lead to their counterattack goal. How do you think we lost the ball their, and they countered with numerical advantage and scored? Pogba was fouled.

The point is that if he calls even 1 of those, who knows how the last 20 minutes of the game would have turned out, as Barca looked very rattled in midfield and defense at that point, and we were pressing our advantage.

Instead, he swallowed his whistle for multiple fouls against the same player, and we end up conceding as a direct consequence. How this can be seen as anything other than very poor refereeing is beyond me.

Do I think there's some conspiracy against Juve, and for Barca? Not in the slightest.

Do I think the ref bought into the hype of Barca's star power in attack, and gave them the benefit of the doubt all game long, and retarded comments by Platini disparaging Pogba, and from the media stating we would be destroyed? Yes I do.

Anyways. There's nothing left to do now. It was a very poorly ref'd game, and he played a major factor in the outcome, especially in terms of switching the entire momentum of the game toward Barca during our dominant period, but that being said, Barca was the better team. Maybe without that momentum shift, we would have dominated the rest of the 2nd half, but whatever, it happened. It sucks. I'm disgusted by it. But it happened, and we lost to a very strong team.

Anyways, proud of the team and players, and cannot wait for next season to arrive.

There was another foul on Pogba just after that, that gave Barca possession for the counterattack that lead to their second goal...

Arguing ref calls after getting fairly beaten by an unarguably stronger club. :sergio:
Right... If that Pogba penalty appeal was turned down at the other end for a foul on Neymar or Suarez, and we had won, we all know the entire football world would be shouting that we paid off UEFA and the referees.

But that would never happen, because we all know our players would never be allowed to tackle Neymar or Suarez in the box without ceding a penalty.
