Atletico were not qualified though as he failed to point out, they could have been eliminated had we won by 2 goals or more. Yes obviously we are not a world class team but he has been so harsh on Juve there i have to say. It's a game neither team wanted to lose so naturally both settled for the draw the longer the game went on.

he failed to point it out because it's simply not true

we played a very good game, kept at them and pushed them very deep but credit to Atletico, very organised and solid team.

Tevez was a bit disappointing I guess, needed more from him in a tight match.

am sure we could have won the game if we had gone full tilt in the last 15 mins as well.

Blooming heck, have got home at 3 am, some mothersucker decided to close down the A4 motorway from Turin to Milan and took me ages to get back!!! It was worth it, not much for the game but the atmosphere gave me goosebumps and we had so many laughs with my mates.
All in all, we played a decent game vs a very strong team, when they defend like that it is rather difficult to create much but we did have a few chances without taking too many risks.
ps: Evra and Lichth are embarassing at this level

If we only had a CB of Godin class, an AM in place of Pereyra and Marchisio instead of Pirlo, we would have won the game.

We were wasteful with our set pieces, and we had to go for the long shots as we are unable to penetrate them. I felt our fullbacks were poor to some extend, and ATM had a few dangerous chances , that Buffon saved us.

I thought it was a good performance overall, we just lacked something against a team who played the majority of the game looking to keep a clean sheet above all else, and they are one of the best at doing that.

We'll face a weaker defensive side whoever we play next, but also surely a side who will threaten us much more.

I thought it was our best performance this season, most certainly the first half.

The comments in here make it look like we were knocked out.... Crazy. Hoping for Dortmund in the next round, would be a great game I'm sure.

Dortmund doesn't look so good this year, but man, I'd never pick them. I don't think their style suits us and it wouldn't be an easy match. Monaco and Porto are the obvious choices.

But either way, this is a competition for the big and if we want to progress and make a step forward we shouldn't be too picky.

Goal.com is always harsh on us. They kill us in player ratings and weekly articles. Only Carlo Garganese sometimes supported us but we certainly dont receive the same treatment that our rivals do and even more certainly the treatment that City, Liverpool, Dortmund and the likes get. Why? Bad PR department. Proper relations with the press would have our ratings exaggerated, our talents overhyped for better prices, our successes emphasized and our shortcomings de-emphasized. PR is as important if not more than advertising. If you cant have good relations with powerful members of the press your potential as a brand will always be suppressed.
