Hi there i was wondering if any one here that is going to the game, that lives in britain would be kind enough to buy me Juve merchandise and post it to me. Of course i would fully repay you i could send a cheque to your address and then you could dispatch the goods i would be prepared to pay more then what you bought it for, and i would obviosly pay for postage. I was thinking something like a scarf. I want it to put in my car so i can show my support for the Juve to the world.

i think it will be 2 goals difference

so again juve will win the game 3-1

:D
I'm thinking 3-2 or 3-1 with Zambrotta and Davids bossing the midfield, and Del Piero and Trezeguet playing like how they did against Real.

Forza Juve!

I think Del Piero will have a great game next week in Old Trafford .. it has something to do with the British Stadiums .. he always flourishes there .. displaying his skills and scoring goals with the huge spaces in the pitch and also the closeness of the crowd .. he did well against Celtic and also against Man Utd. in Old Trafford in 97 scoring in the first minute

Rossoneri are more a continental-oriented team, they build their squads in order to chase the big one...that's why we have been to more CL finals than any other Italian club. While your 27 scudetto's are respectable, we are only second to Real Madrid when it comes to the Champions League, and we won all our trophies way back when only one team from each country was allowed to enter the competition.

by the way This is Juve's 7th final(8th for Milan). And i dont buy this bullshit about continental-oriented players blablabla. When you check the history of the competiton you will see Milan won there titles when they were doing well in Serie A. The early 90s was a peroid of total milan domination both in the league and Europe. When juve reached 3 consecutive finals in the mid 90s, they too were top at home.

Despite not scoring, he also had a good game against Arsenal at Highbury last season, so you may just have a point there

Guys... I have some bad news. Read this:

Milan’s Jon Dahl Tomasson won’t make the trip to Old Trafford, but Juventus are waiting on news from Gianluigi Buffon.

The Rossoneri striker is definitely out of the Champions’ League Final on May 28 after tearing a ligament in his shoulder.

The Dane suffered the injury during last night’s 4-1 Coppa Italia win at Roma and will undergo surgery this week.

Juventus are already without the suspended Pavel Nedved for the European Final in Manchester, but there are conflicting reports on Buffon’s condition.

The goalkeeper has been substituted in his last two Serie A outings with a right shoulder problem.

“It is something that has been bothering me for the last two months,” admitted the Italian international, “but the substitutions were just for precaution.”

He is undergoing specialist treatment with Juventus medical staff and it is reported there is only an 80 per cent chance of seeing him start against Milan next Wednesday.

Buffon was given three days of complete rest before beginning a personalised training programme this afternoon.

He is currently working with the aid of strapping to prevent the shoulder making brusque movements.

Should the ex-Parma man, who saved a Luis Figo penalty in the semi-final against Real Madrid, not make it then Antonio Chimenti would start between the posts.

I really think it's just rumours and media hype. He didn't look to be in any kind of discomfort, and I think the substitutions were just to give Chimenti a go, especially against Perugia... all the commentators were saying "this isn't for injury reasons, it's just to give Chimenti (a lifelong juventino as far as i know) a run...hence Chimenti's :D)

Would you please give us the source of this article? Please say Soccerage, PLEASE :fero:

I'm pretty confident that Gigi will play, I'm just hoping that someone like Thuram, Davids or Del Piero doesn't pull up with a tragic injury.

An article from uefa.com about Lippi talking with the media today about the match...

Juventus FC coach Marcello Lippi was relaxed and good humoured as he chatted to the world's press this afternoon in Turin and looked forward to next week's all-Italian UEFA Champions League final in Manchester against AC Milan.

Even contest expected
The smiling, silver-haired Juventus coach was modesty personified, even insisting that the respective team bosses would count for little on the night. He stressed that the two Italian giants held no surprises for each other. "Each team have their particular characteristics; Juve have theirs, and so do Milan. This will be a match in which each side brings to the game what it knows best, things which they have demonstrated on many occasions throughout the season. It will be very even because there aren't any secrets between the teams, they have met twice this season, with both of them wining once each. It will be very even."

No homework needed
Lippi has no special concerns about Milan's gameplan. "There will be nothing to study. It will just be a question of recovering those who are carrying niggles, it will be about physical condition, and psychological condition. From the psychological aspect certainly these [two teams] are among the best. It will be a question of just recovering energy. It will be the same for Milan. But there will be nothing to study."

High emotion
Despite his immense previous successes, Lippi admitted that this was a special week for both himself and his players. Not since Juve's last European final in 1998 have emotions been running so high. "There was a feeling that we had achieved everything, but now the players have shown that they still have the enthusiasm and the will to win."

Hoping for success
In his first two seasons back at Juventus, after two years away, Lippi has now brought them the coveted Serie A title in successive seasons. But he was modest when asked if he could now go on to also repeat his past European victories: "Let's hope that myself and the players can relive the same satisfaction. In the past have won only one European cup. Honestly, in four finals only winning one trophy wouldn't be so much."

Clear idea
Throughout this season's Champions League, Lippi has demonstrated his tactical ability to get the most from his side, switching players and formations when necessary. But he gave little away about his lineup for Manchester, where he goes into the final deprived of midfield dynamo Pavel Nedved. "There are hundreds of different options, with different hypotheses. But I have a clear idea of what I will do. The match could start off in one way, then take a different direction."
