I want to understand tactically how we lost this. For the first 40 minutes we were even. We were in fact on top for the first 15, creating many chances to their zero.
Suddenly Ronaldo pops one in out of nothing, but still we didn't give up.

Suddenly, for the last 5 minutes of the first, we went into our shell. From the first second in the second, we went a few layers deeper into our shell.

Our midfield became non-existent and we couldn't make simple passes.

Did:

1 - Zidane's slight tactical changes make them so much better
2 - They decided to shift into next gear and it was too much for us to handle
3 - We realised we had a chance to win a CL final and went into a mental block mode
4 - Others?

Reasons such as their roster is so much better is BS - we can easily match them man to man with the starting 11.

Really can't put my finger on it.

Your right. There will be space for a new giant in a year or two. If we keep out squad stromg we can do it. But who do we buy to take us to that level?.
Kudos to Inter, Chelsea and Bayern for winning the CL in the last 10 years, but it was almost not a fair game when you have Ronaldo and Messi against the others. These two won 7 of the last 10 Champions leagues, scoring 40, 50, 60 goals per season. Once they are gone, I guess the others will have an equal chance as anyone else to win the CL. We're building nice teams. Two almost completely different Juve teams made the CL twice in three years. We dismantled the first Juve and had the luck and knowledge to build another one. Obviously the director and the manager know their job. Now keep the best players, keep the manager and add top quality.

Tak!

I am actually angry. I dont understand that second half approach. I dont understand the second half meltdown. Mentally we just capitulated. This season I thought we addressed this problem as we didnt give an inch to any team but we did it in the fucking cl final against madrid. I am so disappointed. I wouldnt mind losing if we showed up and got beaten by the better team but we opened up our legs in the second half . I really dont understand it and I feel so let down and angry with the players.
Completely agree, what the f was said during the break?

Difference in bench is evident though, Lemina came on for us Bale came on for them and James wasn't even called up.

Guys, let's not cut off our nose to spite our face. We had a horrible game, we've had those during the season too, Genoa anyone? Just sucks that it happens in the final once again. But we have a good team and good players, we have made tremendous progress, this is our first loss in CL this season.

Having said that, I'm not watching another Juve CL final. This is the 5th in row that just ends up making me miserable for days

$#@!in piece of $#@! Vidal shouldve scored that penalty.
Bayern would have schooled us even more - their style of play is our Kryptonite.

Game was over by then - these reasons are irrelevant.

We were pushed there. Brutally pushed.

We were completely overrun in the second half. Our two man midfield held up nicely until tonight but it seems that against some teams we must put an extra mid onto the field.
