I want to understand tactically how we lost this. For the first 40 minutes we were even. We were in fact on top for the first 15, creating many chances to their zero.
Suddenly Ronaldo pops one in out of nothing, but still we didn't give up.

Suddenly, for the last 5 minutes of the first, we went into our shell. From the first second in the second, we went a few layers deeper into our shell.

Our midfield became non-existent and we couldn't make simple passes.

Did:

1 - Zidane's slight tactical changes make them so much better
2 - They decided to shift into next gear and it was too much for us to handle
3 - We realised we had a chance to win a CL final and went into a mental block mode
4 - Others?

Reasons such as their roster is so much better is BS - we can easily match them man to man with the starting 11.

Really can't put my finger on it.
Real exposed our only weakness IMO, that's pace and dribbling. When our player have the ball, they always position to intercept the pass and force that player to dribbling to have better angle. And when our player choose to dribbling, they throw theirself to make it difficult. That's a very very brave approach, but they did it confidently and effective. It's also make our players looking so bad out there, and when our team became hasty, we lost this. I tip my hat off to Zidane, I know he has the better player in his disposal, but whats he did was top notch.

I'm pretty sure that we would have lost in 2015 if they had Modric. He was injured, James replaced him, and their team wasn't balanced. Modric makes a world of difference.
Bale and Benz were also coming back from injury iirc... it was a fantastic time to play them.

You'd think the law of averages would have at least applied here. Maybe we'll win like 3 in a row to balance it out and the law of averages will come through?
We can only hope. However we have not been the best team and normally the best team wins the competition.

Something has to change to take that final step to the trophy. The teams that take more risks and are brave on the ball normally win the final and we have not been that team in the last 2 finals

No he didn't say that. But in the end it's sad but true!!! I only remembered that foto how pogba was sitting in front of the tv and saw that picture " it's time for cardiff". But the reality is that manU won something in europe and we won only something on experience (once again).

Sorry guys for that kind of writting but i am only sad and a little bit frustrated.

Well, unless our owners spend big, I think it's gonna be very difficult to bounce back from this defeat. A CL was the missing piece after we started rebuilding since calciopoli. With a CL under our arm we had the chance to go to this summer mercato and attract truly WC talent. Vidal, pogba left because they didn't believe in our project and, unfortunately, this defeat proves them right.

Of course Juve is one of the biggest clubs in the world but IMO we are back to square 1 and It's gonna be a long time until we are in a position to win the CL again.

What a sad fucking day.

It would suck to be like our older fans, you know, watching our team losing so many finals. This is the third final loss for me (I was still a kid in 2003 though). I don't wanna go through so many years without winning the CL and choking finals.

I'm hopeful though. We can win it in the coming years but we need to keep our key players cause I'm sure they learned a lot after this defeat.

Max also screwed up the formation. We needed four at the back just like against Barcelona. Monaco created quite a few chances against our 3511.

Edit: Higuain was such a waste of money. We really need another CF.
