disappointing, but I think we'll play much better in rest of the group matches.

hopefully, Mirko, Andrea will not be injured for other CL fixtures.

Marchisio coming back also will be important for us.

hopefully we'll start seeing Llorente too by the time we play Madrid.

I saw Man City's formation and a pretty long highlight on TV, Aguero plays as a CAM type of player, and they use Dzeko, they dont even play that much crossing, from that match anyway. I was thinking if Tevez was to be played there, and use Gio and Llorente up front, I mean, playing against these smaller teams, I think that would be wonderful. Tevez would run riot, getting attacks from the mid to the final third, Gio can drift wide on either side, and Llorente holding up play and getting Pogba/Vidal through or taking shots near the box..

Take a look at City's play, I mean, all their goals were very Juve like, and that Toure special goal, I can see Pogba doing something similar..

Anyone else think the ref was a giant dick today?

He had no trouble showing us cards, but never for Copenhagen.

Brutal day, very unlucky, but I'm confident we can still make it out of the group.

Peluso impressed me. Pogba had a nightmare 15mins. Pirlo with some really shitty passing.
Yup that Croatian duche really got on my nerves last night. I'll hunt his sorry ass down the first chance I get. :D

Glad this forum is not a physical place, the drama would surpass Jersey shore.
I read so many conclusions, decisions and tactical insights that are plucked out of thin air from people who have never even played football let alone held a position as a manager/coach. It is just one game, and as I said before we missed so many great chances. Had they gone in nobody would ask for a 4-3-3 or Tevez behind two strikers, or anything similar. Suddenly people even want Giovinco in the starting line-up after watching him play 10minutes last night.
Just accept that you are not going to win every game that you deserve to win, had we scored our chances it would've been 1-4, 1-5 and everybody would be on Conte's bandwagon.

Consequences of not being tactically flexible. We should get rid of 3-5-2 against shitty opponents and adopt something like 4-3-3 we were playing in first half of 2011/2012. Don't tell me we're waiting Pepe to return for it. He is done as footballer, never been that good, now without playing almost 2 years, he would be unbearable.

What's up with the Llorente? New Elia/Anelka? Either there is terrible communication between Marotta and Conte about players who will arrive or something else.

We have to take into account their fucking GK had the game of his life. We had like 10 clear chances but that guy was pulling a Marchetti out there.

As for Llorente, it seems the press was right this time, he simply doesn't fit into our attack. They reported like 20 days ago that he's not going for the right movements Conte asks from him. I guess he's used to stand in the box most of the time and wait for crosses.

Regarding Llorente, Conte mentioned something that the Danish defenders were tall and physical and he preferred to play players of shorter height.

Your guess is wrong this time.

Super disappointed in only getting a draw, had we won, the pressure would have all been on Galatasaray, and beating them when we meet would have set us up nicely towards qualification.

I agree that when we play weaker teams like this, we should not play 3 at the back.

I'm surprised Llorente didn't come on, as the guys of Sky Italia were saying he was warming up thoroughally throughout the break, and they thought he was going to come on at half time!

Can't believe that out of 11 shots on target, only 1 went in...had luck been on our side, it could have ended in a similar score to Madrid!

With regards to the subs, which most of you are criticizing, here are my two cents on them:

Peluso/De Ceglie: Peluso was either super tired or injured, and he himself asked to be subbed. Conte initially sent Asamoah to warm up, however, he changed his mind and sent in PDC. Reasons why he might have done this: PDC is decent at attacking and crossing, and since there was so much space on the flanks, he might have exploited the space; also Asamoah is quite good defensively, however attacking is not his strongest point (as everyone seems to always point out). Asamoah playing 90 mins on Saturday may have also influenced Conte's decision.

Quag/Giovinco: Quagliarella scored and hit the post, but apart from those two actions, he was quite frustrating with a lot of his flicks and touches. Giovinco came on well, ran into space, one a few corners. Generally did well when he came on, but I feel it would have been better if we were to change to a 4-3-1-2 with Tevez behind Giovinco and Llorente/Quag.

Lichtsteiner/Isla: Reasoning is similar to that of PDC. Lichtsteiner didn't have one of his best games, and was getting frustrated at the inconsistency of the referee.

Overall, the team didn't play very well, but I felt we did more than enough to win the game by at least 2 goals...however lady luck was not on our side last night.

Also, Conte -as usual- was so late in replacing Licht with only 5 minutes remaining!!!
TBH, I don't think last night was bad luck... It was a poor performance with worse finishing.

I agree with you, I don't understand why some keep saying we were unlucky. Our entire gameplay lacked intensity and creativity.

Gala at home 3 points, Copenhagen at home 3 points, draw both matches against Real and draw against Gala away. With the point in Copenhagen this would see us on 10 points and should be enough to go through.

I think this is quite achievable. Not saying we can't beat Madrid or even get 6 points against Gala, but the above scenarios are more likely and is something we should be able to expect from our team.

Realistically :

3 points against Gala
3 points against Copenhagen
1 point against Madrid

And if we draw Gala in Istanbul ,we'd have 9 points and we need some results going our way too like Copenhagen drawing Gala for example to secure qualification.
