I was thinking, when we face Bayern: will we play 3-5-2 or 4-3-1-2?
We are in a good form now and the 3-52 is actually working good, but we can also play 4-3-1-2 our CL formation last year.
Maybe we can try to play Dybala as CAM and Mandzukic and Zaza up-front? That would be a hell for the Bayern defenders.
3 strikers with Dybala as AM is out of the question.
Pogba did well as an AM once earlier this season, and that's when he was out of form. He was moved there in first half when Pereyra came off injured and Asamoah got subbed in IIRC. He should be tried there in another game, and if he passes, this can be a very good option for 1st/home leg:
Buffon
Lichtsteiner Bonucci Chiellini A.Sandro/Evra
Khedira Marchisio Asamoah
Pogba
Dybala Mandzukic
Teams who play a high line and attack can be susceptible at the back obviously. You're more likely to take advantage of that with a 4312 than a 352, which creates less chances and is harder to counter with. Also, against teams like Bayern and Real, only way (other than successfully parking the bus 180 mins which is almost impossible) we can win is by winning the midfield battle. We do have good midfielders. If we get a decent result in the 1st leg, go with the more defensive 352/532 with BBC and Evra at the back in the away leg.
Messi won it this year despite beeing injured for most of the new season.
Neymar would have been more correct
Messi didnt really play well, while neymar was quite good when he took over in his abscence.
You're like constantly in competition with yourself to do ever better than the last post. Just when I think I've seen the worst, you surprise me again.
Let's not exaggerate here. You obviously never watch Cristiano play if you think he only scores goals.
While Messi clearly deserves the Ballon d'Or for this past year and only an idiot would say otherwise... Cristiano assists at very near the rate Messi does while playing with far less prolific forwards than Neymar and Suarez.
Last season:
Cristiano Ronaldo: 58 goals -- 19 assists -4164 minutes in CL and La Liga--- a goal/assist every 54.1 minutes
Lionel Messi: 53 goals -- 23 assists -4421 minutes in CL and La Liga---- a goal/assist every 58.2 minutes
This year:
Cristiano Ronaldo: 27 goals - 10 assists - 2340 minutes in CL and La Liga--- a goal/assist every 63.2 minutes
Lionel Messi: 14 goals - 5 assists - 1380 minutes in CL and La Liga --- a goal/assist every 72.6 minutes
You guys who say Messi is on an entirely different level exaggerate as badly as Zach does when he disparages Messi. Messi and Cristiano are pretty clearly 1a and 1b in world football for the last few years and their goal and assist outputs are almost identical.
Cristiano has a much better goal/assist per minute ratio than Messi over the last season and a half. This doesn't mean Cristiano is better, but stating Messi is on a different level and Cristiano doesn't provide assists is absurd and flies directly in the face of facts. Messi is the better player imo, because above goals+assists he's more involved in games than Cristiano, but the difference is very slim.
Ronaldo trained himself to be an incredibly efficient footballer. Some people mistake that for lacking in ability.
you will get injury while on the toilet
