Wow. You are one scared man.
Concerned or worried is more like it. I think 10 points will see us through, but it is imperative that we win all our home games, and pick up at least 1 point on the road. Sevilla away from home is going to be a very tricky proposition (it is like a fortress there, and they are almost unbeatable on home soil), and the City game will be incredibly tough.

I too think City and Sevilla are difficult opponents for us. But to say that City, PSG and Chelsea can be considered a level above us is blasphemy imo. All three have more spending power, but they generally don't construct better teams.

In my opinion , I find it pretty pathetic that some people are predicting a group stage exit for us.

I could understand if we had the same group last yr but not now ffs.Cant be this pessimistic.
Learn from history. Don't be an arrogant muppet. It is better to err on the side of caution. We finished bottom in a group containing Panathinaikos and Hamburg when we had the might of Zidane. We have also exited at the group stage twice (beaten by Gala, and losing out to friggin Bordeaux) since 2010, so being cautious is not a sin.

I said better teams "on paper." Why does everyone keep ignoring that? However, I would say that with the way PSG and City are playing now, they have better teams. They have started their respective seasons well, and their teams seem to be gelling; there is an understanding among their players on the pitch. We have yet to see it, and the injuries aren't helping either.

If I have to learn from history, I have also learnt that Juventus always steps up against quality teams or when there is a difficult task ahead of them.
This one is no different.

I agree, but City look different this year and I feel they're ready to leave their mark in Europe finally.

It is you who hasn't learnt from history. We always did poorly in 'easy' groups.

I expect us to finish 2nd and make the KO rounds; however, I am also psychologically conditioning myself to brace for a group stage exit.
It's a tough group, but I don't think we should fear them. I do think it won't be an easy year for us in general as we have rebuilt our entire team.

The way Serie A started for us and inability to sign top AM, we could be going into a transition year.

The fact that we're gonna have a tougher competition in Serie A wont help our CL campaign.

We could be going for all, in three competitions and ending up empty handed.

I think even the management knew there was always gonna be problems when you bring in 10 new players and reduce the average age of the team.

I don't think some of these past results surprised anyone.

I honestly think it's all about the first game, if Juve draw or win the first game, they are going to top the group. If City wins the pressure is on to finish second.

Yes, but it was the right move at the right time. Milano trannies are still paying for not rejuvenating/remotivating their squads after their successful cycles.

We should respect but not fear, and we should stay grounded not arrogant. Our target set by the board is a top 8 and I don't see why this cannot be achieved.

It had to happen sooner or later. Our average was nearly 30 at the end of last season. Tough decisions had to be made, and the downside is we might have a less successful season. But the upside is we have built a young team with huge potential. And honestly although our starting 11 isnt as strong as before I feel we have an actual complete squad now.

Yes. While as an Aussie he knows what sand is he chose to live in Sydney. You can imagine how that would not go down well with some people on this forum. The only thing worse than not knowing the desert is knowing it and not living in it.

Our goal imo should be QF. And if for X reason we couldn't go through this difficult group, then we should win europe league.

Imo league+qf ucl or win europe league for a transicional year would be awesome. Anything better Welcome, anything worse than marotta and allegri... We'll see

Juve pre quarters in CL, is best case scenario IMO. This team is going to need some time together and garnering experience for the CL for the likes of Hernanes, Cuadrado, Dybala who are all key to our plans.
