The only explanation i can think of is that we can't register Rubinho because of the limitation on home grown . And with us normally registering 3 GK, we decide to put Audero in list A.
Barcelona, Madrid, Bayern are at least 2 levels above us, at least on paper. City, PSG, and Chelsea are also a level above us. I think we are on the same level, if not superior to, the likes of ATM, United, and Arsenal. Sevilla and Valencia could cause problems as well.

I am not saying we can't beat them. We can beat anyone in a one off. However, on paper, they have better/more talented squads. We are lacking in the creativity department, and a ball hogging, slothful Hernanes isn't going to help us in that regard.
I wouldn't mind Man. Utd. ATM or Valencia in the 2nd round, provided we negotiate the group stage (2nd placed team in the group) first of course.
I would still be relieved to make it out of the group stages. After that, it really is the luck of the draw. We had a favorable draw up until Real in the semis, IIRC. A weakened Dortmund and Monaco?! It doesn't get much easier than that in the knockout stages of the CL.

Slothful Hernanes lol. He'll be a MUCH better trequartista than Vidal ever was for us.
Chelsea's squad is good, but they have had a pretty terrible start to the season, their big name players have so far underperformed, not to mention their style of football under Mourinho is fucking pathetic in the CL, overly defensive and cautious. They have had a woeful transfer window, confidence is low and Mourinho seems to be losing his shit again. I'd love to get them at some stage of the competition.
PSG is a nothing team. Great names on paper, but mercenaries who will fold like a deck of cards against any half decent team they come up against in Europe.
Big name signings. That's it. Both are utter failures in Europe considering the obscene amounts of money they spent.
B81 will come out and say something like "But last year we had VIdal, Tevez and Pirlo" - even though he would be one of the first in the CL threads losing his shit and saying we are a medicore/not top level after our group stage performances.
I am not disputing that we have the history and European pedigree, and that as CL finalists we deserve and should be afforded/accorded respect. Our squad is weaker, and yes, last year our performances in the group stage left a lot to be desired. I did say they have stronger squads on paper, not that they would necessarily beat us. Would I prefer to avoid them when there are inferior squads to confront? Of course. I mean, wouldn't you?! It is only logical/sensible to want to delay/postpone meeting the "heavyweights" later on in the competition.
Ofcourse we would all prefer an easier draw but there's no reason to think we are inferior to them or we can't beat them.
City and PSG have no European pedigree.Atleast PSG took the game to the likes of Barça.City on the other hand get toyed regularly by top teams.ffs if Roma dint choke, it would've been another group stage exit for them.
Heavyweights
You shouldn't be saying things like this when we've reached final last yr and beat superior teams. That adds to our team's confidence even with some important departures.
I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is that those teams kept all their best players and added a few new ones.. They improved.
We sold 2 of our best players, and we have no idea the strength of our team this year. It certainly hasn't started with much promise.
I think we'll be good, but it shall take some time. And I'd 100% call PSG and ManCity better teams at the moment. They're certainly not European heavyweights and it doesn't mean anything 2 months from now, once we're in the thick of CL Group Stage. But it will mean something in that first match against ManCity. And dependent on how well our new signings do in replacing the contributions of Vidal and Tevez, it could mean we are significantly weaker this season.
Our group is challenging, but I love it when Juve have something to prove and not take things for granted. People thought we had a favorable draw that led to us being in the UCL final last season. Time to challenge that.
It's gonna be us against Sevilla and Borussia M'blach. City are not going to falter in the UCL this season.
We were going to be the embarrassment of all Europe. Dortmund, a Bundesliga relegation team was going to beat Juventus with their beautiful counterattacking side, and Serie A would be an even bigger laughingstock. I'm pretty sure Suns probably posted something like that.
Quite ironic that our counterattack absolutely destroyed Dortmund.
I see us having a rough start, but I think our squad has too much quality to fail in group stage. Sevilla lost two of its best players too, and really didn't do much to replace them well. The only team that could be said to be as good or better than us is ManCity. It would be a very big failure to lose to clearly inferior teams in Sevilla and Gladbach.
We might not be ready for the first game though. Half the midfield is still injured and there is not much time left to get to know each other. I believe we will definitely be ready for the second game though.
