Glik: 'Bayern, eliminate Juve’
By Football Italia staff

Torino defender Kamil Glik admits he “hopes” Bayern Munich knock Juventus out of the Champions League.

The Bianconeri fought-back from 2-0 down to claim a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Champions League Last 16 tie, with the return leg in Munich in March.

“I’ve supported Bayern since I was a kid and I hope Bayern eliminate Juventus,” Glik newspaper Przeglad Sportowy in his native Poland.

“My father worked in Germany, and when he’d come home he’d always try and bring me a little present.

“They were almost always Bayern Munich t-shirts and gadgets and I was happy.

“[compatriot Robert] Lewandowski didn’t have an easy time of it in the first leg, and he won’t in the second leg either.

“Juve played with two stoppers [Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli] who gave him a hard time.

“Bonucci and Barzagli form a rock-solid pair, and the latter has returned to very high levels. The 2-2 draw aside, the tie is wide open.”

That would just mean all the more focus to destroy Toro.
