Idk what Pogba is doing there. Aside from that assist which Morata picked out from thin air, he didn't do anything. Vidal deserves it so much more.

I know he hasnt been very consistent this season after his injury, but fuck can vidal still tackle, some of the interceptions he made and the tackles he did over two legs against real, that shit wins you midfield battles. I love pogba personally, but in cl games having vidal in your midfield is invaluable.

That slide tackle he did in the penalty box yesterday was an extremely risky one, but he made the tackle, confident in his ability and knowing full well he'll get the ball. That confidence in his ability and his fighting spirit, you need that in European nights, i for one will be extremely interested in seeing a battle between him and Messi.

Pogba was atleast a step or two slower then usual, he was struggling with basic possession for his standards when he usually is so effortlessly calm with it and has that quick stride that leaves players in the dust. Non of that was visible last night.

Yup agree, thats what i meant by doing too much too early, he's just back from injury, he should have taken it easy and played it simple.

Agree with you, although he also made an extremely dumb body check on James towards the end of the half for their second penalty shout. That was a moment when we were getting very frustrated because that lumbering oaf of a ref didn't give us a string of fouls in midfield.
