What? This isn't true in the slightest. His goals per minute was much better for Arsenal. And his assists per minute are better for Roma.

Roma really doesn't have anyone better, even more so when one considers that Garcia refuses to play anything but a 4-3-3. Perhaps Ibarbo will bench him for the remainder of the season, but I wouldn't bet on that, as Garcia actually seems to love Gervinho from his time at Lille.

It was the year before Africa Cup of Nations switched to odd years, so both his first two years at Arsenal he missed about a month for that, and came back in pretty rough shape each season. He finished the first season very poorly after a strong start, likely due to Cup of Nations, and in the second season Arsenal basically benched him after cup of nations.

That really is irrelevant. They lost Gervinho for 4.5 weeks. Not two months. He came back in poor fitness. I could say it was Keita instead who was the problem. Or the sale of Destro. Lot's of things are wrong for Roma.

I'm not debating EPL vs Serie A or whatever twist you're trying to give it, my point was that Serie A defenses has problems handling players with explosive pace and Gervinho in good form is a clear example of that. Clearly he hasn't been in good form this year and that also reflects on Roma's results since he has been an important player for them, more so than Destro or Keita.

He did the exact same thing at Arsenal. He attacked a lot, gave room to his teammates, and created a ton of chances. Roma fans hate him. Go read their forum. Half the comments are about how much he sucks, and how he kills all their chances. It was the exact same thing at Arsenal. He kills so many chances with terrible end product. Not just scoring, but also terrible passing. And it's no different at Roma than it was at Arsenal. He's not a good example at all of someone tearing up Serie A after failing in the EPL, because he did the exact same thing there, ran by defences, and failed to score, or make the nice pass to finish.
Completely agree, he was a horrible player for us, he isn't for Roma. Statistics don't tell the full story, thats why you have to watch football matches, anyone who watched him back when he used to play for us would know he was an extremely frustrating player, thats why he got benched, and thats why he got sold after just two seasons, even though Wenger is the type that keeps giving players chances.
Fact of the matter is even in our worst seasons under Wenger, we were always a very attack minded team, we always played good attacking football and scored a lot of goals. Attackers who play for us have a lot more chances than most other teams, its why Giroud in his first two seasons with us had decent statistics but most Arsenal fans would tell you the guy was not good enough(This season is different obviously, he's playing better than he ever has for Arsenal). Adebayor had decent statistics, but anyone who was here the season he scored 24 league goals, knows that I didn't rate him even then, and when he moved away from Arsenal he got found out.
