Completely agree, he was a horrible player for us, he isn't for Roma. Statistics don't tell the full story, thats why you have to watch football matches, anyone who watched him back when he used to play for us would know he was an extremely frustrating player, thats why he got benched, and thats why he got sold after just two seasons, even though Wenger is the type that keeps giving players chances.

Roma fans hate Gervinho. It's the exact same situation as at Arsenal. He's in a much more ideal situation at Roma too, with his former coach from Lille who absolutely adores him and has built his game plan around him to a large extent. ALC trying to make use of Gervinho as an example of someone tearing up Serie A who failed in EPL because of how much stronger EPL is, well that's just ridiculous. He's failing miserably here. He had a good first half-season in Serie A as teams didn't at first quite realize how to deal with him, and he's sucked for the last season and a half. Watching him clean through on goal against the Viola the other day and try to dribble the keeper without realize a defender had closed him down was absolutely hilarious and indicative of how bad he is in the box.

As I said, Roma fans hate him, because aside from his first 4 months in Serie A, he's been appalling. Garcia loves him for some inexplicable reason.

Indeed meeting PSG in the final would be epic. Still way too early to talk about that though. One win away against BVB and suddenly we are CL final contenders. Doesn't work that way. We should take it a game at a time. I'm glad our first game against Monaco is at Juve stadium. Hopefully we don't give them any room to score and maybe snatch one goal. I'm certain we can score away if we get the chance to set deep and counter them.

It's going to be very different. I haven't seen any final between italian clubs and france clubs after parma -marsi in uefa cup final(1999).
