actually the problem according to Barca was that the pitch hadn't been watered 1hr before the game, according to UEFA standards. I guess they argue that the pitch was too dry thus making the top, grass, layer easy to separate from the bottom.

Milan say that the pitch wasn't been watered 1 hr before the game because the humidity in Milano was too high and the pitch wouldn't have had enough time to dry out and that would have made it slippery (e.g. Real M watering the pitch right before a game vs Barca earlier this year, or last year, which again made Barca complain ).
Also, Barca had their training at the SS on that same surface in prep for the game and they never said anything about the pitch being a problem.

Obviously the pitch wasn't in perfect condition for the game but SS has been notorious for such issues for years now. Personally, I think the conspiracy theories are going way too far considering Milan players also had issues staying on their feet and slip ups almost resulted in Barca scoring on a couple of occasions in the 1st half, iirc.

I guess they would have to look for alternative explanations as to why they failed to put Milan under any sustained pressure in the entire 2nd half. Anyways, if Barca were to beat Milan at the Camp Nou, I am sure the pitch at the SS would come up as the main reason why they didn't win in Milan too.

Chelsea, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, and Bayern are all disgusting clubs. Unfortunately one of those fuckers has to go through, as we can't have the semis with 3 teams. In all probability, 4 of the aforementioned quintet will most likely qualify, making the semis a very disgusting affair between a bunch of cheats, divers, impostors, liars, and cuntbags. One of these fuckwit clubs will eventually end up lifting the trophy. Unfortunate, but true

I just hope that the final is not an all Spanish affair between Barca and Madrid. It undermines the value of the competition when the final is contested between two teams from the same country, so no to an "El Clasico" final. What's the difference between the CL and La Liga then?

I was obviously greatly displeased when Chelsea and Man United were contesting the final; regarding the Juve vs Milan final, I was undoubtedly elated that we managed to dispose of both Barca and Madrid en route to the final, but utterly disappointed to lose on penalties to the scumbags of Milano. I'd have rather faced an opponent from a different country, but fate had it that we had to confront Milan, and lose

I used to hate Dotmund, after they stole the CL from us in 97, but lately I've been enjoying their progress and development.

They did it with hiddink too, they were pretty close to reach the final and even win the whole thing if not for that ref error.....
