I don't even talk about Bale regularly. All I said last time was that it was one game, now it's two. Big fucking deal.

He's a good player, a good winger, but not somebody who warrants world class status at this point.

Take a look at who is pushing these views. They all love the EPL.
Except it's not just two games. He's been great since the back end of last season.

Must be cuz Robben's injured

IMO there's no way he's better than Robben anytime
Exactly, Robben's not playing so how can someone say he's better than Bale right now?

Krasic and Robben are better than some vastly over-rated welsh epl player. Tottenham are the most over-rated team in the world, where are their world cup winners and european footballers of the year?

That is horseshit. They both play on the wing. Doesn't matter what system they're part of.
It makes a world of difference. Stick Messi in a 4-4-2 and he'll be a completely different player. Guys like Bale, Camoranesi are wingers in a 4-4-2 that hug the byline, Ronalodo, Messi are forwards who attack from the wing and cut in the middle. Completely different players and positions on the pitch. You know this, you just don't wanna give Bale, who is playing out of this world, slack because he's an EPL player.

It doesn't matter if Bale is the best in the world or not. His stamina, speed and crossing are unreal. Even if he's inconsistent and he can be shut down with a certain tactic, his stamina, speed, crossing and decision making will still be there and no team can say no to that.

Even if there are 10 wingers better than him, or 100 wingers, it still takes nothing away from him. He's really good.

Bale is the best winger in the world currently, no doubt about it. Ronaldo is a forward, just like Messi and they play in a 4-3-3. Bale is a winger in a proper 4-4-2. Ronaldo, Messi and even Robben would be completely undermined in that system. If we're gonna compare Ronaldo and Bale, we might as well have compared Ronaldinho and Nedved back in the day.
Spot on. Ronaldo plays in a wide position in Mourinho's 4-2-3-1/4-3-3, he's not an out-and-out winger. That would be like classifying Eto'o as a winger last season. I guess they have a different definition of winger than we do.

Maicon wasn't at his day today, neither was Lucio who got owned whenever he came close.

Don't forget that Terry wasn't on his day last season.

Sagna wasn't on his day when we met them at the end of last season too.

Bale is just a very lucky player, whenever he plays against a fullback he isn't on his day.
I agree about today, but he isn't a lucky player.
He's lucky that he's blessed with great speed and the fact that he's built like an ox. You've got to give him great credit because his career never started off too well but he's worked really hard and improved loads, you can see this through his ball control, it's really improved. He's becoming s great player and with more consistency and further improvement within 5 years he'll be one of the best in that position. And that's an if not a when. :p

100% correct. It's a completely different role and Andy knows this.

They do. For me guys like Bale were always proper wingers, Ronaldo and the such are new generation of wingers/forwards who rely on a basic system, be it a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Completely different types of players.

I wonder how many would say he is the best winger in the world before two games against (uninterested\very average) inter. he is very good and a spirutial succesor to giggs but not the best.

Just so you know, he isn't English, so you don't have to hate him.
I know he isn't, but the Prem Marketeers like to think he is.

Ronaldo and Messi have played in straight 4-4-2 systems before, the former with United for years. :howler:

It doesn't matter where the players roam. Every single time I watch Ronaldo play he takes it down the left flank. Who cares if he cuts it inside. The whole definition of a winger is someone who exploits space on the flanks . They're wingers, sorry.

No this is horse shit. Messi out of his favorite position is not half as effective as he is in the 4-3-3. Same can be said about Ronaldo.

Was camo the same when he was in a 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2? No.

Bale can play as a full back where none of those can.

Compare each one of these in their best position.

In a 4-4-2, Bale is currently easily top 3 and improving.

Seriously, the anti-EPL stance on here is ridiculous. Bale isn't even English and I don't give a fuck about the Premiership. I would support any Italian team against an English team except for Inter but at the end of the day I'm not biased and I can see that Bale is a fantastic football player. If he's not the best out-and-out winger in world football right now he's definitely the best left sided one. Krasic is his only real competition. Nani has been in great form this season too but he's a piece of shit.
