non of those are world class, and if rooney is considered world class in today's standards well that just confirms how bad club football has become.

He doesn't compare to the forwards between 98-06

Rooney, as much as I dislike him, is undoubtedly one of the best few forwards in the world.

What CBs are better than Vidic?

fair enough for vidic, but rooney? I mean come on seriously if rooney is considered one of the best forwards in the world than I rest my case.
Team's like Arsenal under the Henry/Vieira/Bergkamp/Sol/A Cole/Pires that era, was a stronger team than this Man Utd squad, the reason they never dominated europe was that there was so many good teams back then.

I don't think this Man Utd team is anything special, but they are better than you give them credit for.

I might get flamed for this, but I think Hernandez is too.

    Nani and Valencia also.
    Hernandez isn't there yet.

Valencia is good but not world class.

If Nani just becomes a little more consistent he would be a really good player.

I think you are seriously underrating Utd. They may lack the individual greats of past sides but they function extremely well as a team.

They are very well organized and very fast.

    :agree:

How times have changed, once they dreamt to become like us.
I remember Fergie saying that he always told his players to look at Juve for inspiration or something among these lines, can't remember the actual quote, he said that in the mid90's.

United will win the Champions League this year.
Doubt we have the ability to handle Barca's or Real's midfield.

    Bebe > all.

Btw what's that listing is all about? If it's about quality then it's an offense to rank O'Shea that low, he's as good as Brown if not better. And Evra on his day is world class, although this season he looked a bit average. And I would rank VDS among Vida and Rio.

Evra's great when on form, I agree. But VdS? He's alright.

Man Utd deserve to be were they are, and to be honest I don't mind who wins the champions league. It's really my point was only ever to say that genuine quality in football has declined a lot, so it's easier to dominate in football these days. As I already showed as an example, I personally think that the Arsenal tea of 2003 who won nothing had a stronger team than today's Man Utd.
I wouldn't say Nani is world class, and it's way too early to say Hernandez is world class either. But it's hardly man utd's fault, they work well as a team as Kyle said, and you can only play you get I guess.

Van Der Sar is alright? I may understand why some of you Juve fans don't rate VDS as he wasn't very successful with you, but he's easily one of the finest goalies in Europe this season. I know a good amount of United fans who would rather have VDS over Schmeichel.
