[CL] Bayern München 0-0 Juventus Sept. 30th 2009 (31 Viewers)

From what I remember, recently we mostly struggled at January and at the end of the season, and not to forget all the injuries. I would say it's coincidence, but seeing it again and again makes me wonder seriously. Different coaches and different players, but I guess same fitness coaches? training methods? Even at Ranieri time we started great, then went back struggling..
This year we started with a tough fixture thou, and still have one huge CL match and two difficult serie A matches ahead. Can't find a logical answer for all these, hopefully the staff has! We were so good until Bologna match, even at half time we were good. I think this is a physical problem, the players are getting exhausted, seems they are not prepared greatly at preseason.. I have no hopes for Bayern match, hopefully I am wrong.

This is something I've been pondering for a while. It really puzzles me how our fitness levels are so low. Why can't we just get an EPL fitness coach - think about it, Camo running 95 minutes nonstop

I'll check how did these two do in the past when they played together.
Right now i only remember an amazing Trez assist and Iaquinta finish against Chelsea in Turin, but IIRC on that match we played with 3 strikers (or was it a 4-3-1-2 with Del Piero as a trequartista?).
The problem with Trez-Iaquinta, as Vlatko and few more noticed, is that Iaquinta always goes for a goal and he can only see the goal in front of him, never the other Juve players around him. Trez on the other hand, is a player who needs service.
A good match by Diego will nullify the problem, though.
A lot depends on Del Piero's fitness. If Ale is ready to play 90 minutes then Ciro has one more option, apart from Trez-Iaquinta, and that is Del Piero-Iaquinta (I'm not counting on Amauri as a starter for this match).
In any case, Iaquinta is the only one who must play. He's in better form than anyone else in our attacking department, he opens up smartly, runs more than the other strikers, he's making them tired, and, of course, scores and assists on every single match he plays.

Against Chelsea Ranieri went for 4-3-1-2 with Ale playing behind. I don't remember Ale and Iaquinta doing that good, but they're ok considering Iaquinta's goal scoring form.
What I was thinking of is that, Diego got two man infront of him that can't create nor combine with him, and if we're going to depend on Camoranesi upfront then we might concede with Melo and Marchisio running their butts off.
I would like Camoranesi to do more of a defensive job but on the other hand one of Iaquinta or Trezeguet should help Diego and combine with him or else we're in a real trouble.
