Im not even going to bother commenting. We had half a team, but its no excuse for the individual clusterfucks out there.

We tend to take time to get into the CL groove of things. Its harsh to play your first game against Barcelona away, especially with a depleted defence in comparison to last year. Still expect us to reach far this season, finishing second might not be as bad, tend to believe we are better in ties when we play the first leg home.

Everyone fell asleep and starting thinking of how well we had done in the first half and we copped the first. It was done from there. Benatia with some fantastic ball watching.

Half the starters are out but we looked comfortable for 44 minutes then we go and fuck it up royally. Individual mistakes punished us.
Rugani should always start.

The shit thing is that we can only really get second place now. Barca won't drop points against either of the other teams where as we probably will.

Ok the timing isnt right maybe but we should have bought another striker for Higuain backup. Im not saying this would have made difference today, but the fact that Allegri has to put on some 17 year old kid to sub Higuain is not right.

And i hope Höwedes is capable as RB.

Barza and Benatia should be relegated to 4th and 5th choice @ CB respectively. Too slow, and committed numerous errors tonight. Simply not good enough.

Did we get raped? I'm still waiting on Zach to confirm this or provide us with an elaborate explanation/excuse.

I guess we can't blame the tactics or call it a pussy approach, otherwise Kyle will throw a hissy fit.

i think so too. its only the first game and its in barcelona. i doubt we will be seeing benatia any time soon unless chellini is injured.
So, all of the time then

Benatia should be sold next Summer.

But we'd bank the 5M we'd make off of him and choose not to reinvest it along with the rest of the money we see fit not to invest in the squad.

It would have been closer with our starters but last season aside, Barca are still the better team and absolutely dominated us. I expect this is the season we drop back to last 8 hopefuls, more in line with our spending. The real big boys will be back and I imagine this United team will outperform us within the next 2 seasons in the CL. A prediction I made back when United were dogshit. It's all about investing in the squad. And we don't.

I'm not surprised we were poor. We always look half fit against teams from leagues that start earlier in September and Manduz and Cuads were huge losses for tonights game.

Still, I see no reason to panic though we aren't anywhere near as shit as the doomsayers are proclaiming and I still believe, barring injury crisis, we have every chance of smashing them in Turin. We were definitely very unlucky to have this fixture as our first of the group stage.
