I'm still hungover in Barcelona.

Watching this team live for first time gives me a true appreciation for how organized all 11 players are at defending. The way they close out spaces and build a wall in the middle as soon as a shot is about to be taken is a marvel to watch live. You could see the frustration in faces of Barca players and fans every time a shot was blocked or balls sent into the box were returned to sender.

Monaco (21:16)
Real M. (28:15)
Atletico M. (13:5)
Juventus (17:2)

These are the goal differences of all 4 teams in this year's CL.
The numbers tell the story we all know by now. Real Madrid are a team that can score at any time. Atletico can defend, Monaco can attack.

I hear people wanting Real in the semis, but I'd much rather avoid them, despite the good history we have against them in knockouts. They have so many players who can score from anything, anytime. With Atletico we can nullify each other and those two matches can go anywhere, with a single shot deciding the whole tie.

That's why I prefer Monaco. I didn't watch them yesterday but I watched their previous 3 matches against City and Dortmund. They can press and attack well for 45-60 minutes and then they usually collapse. If someone can contain their attack, it's us, while their defensive display is even below Barca level. Of the remaining three teams, they suit our game the most.
And then we can hope that Atletico and Real will murder eachother and get tons of yellows and red.

It's still pretty amazing how we completely owned Farca.

Really great work from everyone, grinta, focus, self-belief, team organisation, composure, concentration, defence-attack balance...

I think the uproar against the refereeing of Real-Bayern game played a big role in the Ref's decisions last night. For once the refs were more concerned about their own neck, than being coerced by the home crowd and the host's whining.
Especially that yellow he gave to Gaymar in the first half was decisive for us. In the 2nd half the little b!tch was totally tame, since he knew if he continues his shenanigans and gets sent off, all the blame of their failure would be put on him, for once he decided to man-up and take some normal beating from the opponent instead of springing off the ground with the slightest touch.
Quite refreshing.

Ref was awesome. Not because he got almost everyhing spot on, but because he didn't stop play for every knock and push. I would love that this was a standard for all the games.

First 15 minutes everyone falling over for slightest contact and given no fouls - the rest of the match when they understood that they will not get anything for slightest touches some nice tackles and football happened.

That Neymar is so punchable. Juve players are class.

The ref

Suck it You little Barca fanboy. You're team is going back to play 2nd fiddle to Real Madrid.

This one too
Tbf Umtiti was really good in both legs imo, strong defensive performance by Barca yesterday overall, didn't expect that.

Even considering we didn't focus on the offensive end at all.

absolutely no contest

i'd give kassai 4/10 and a 6,5/10 to kuipers. those minor mistakes i mentioned didn't influence the game in any ways. kuipers was in charge throughout the 90 minutes.
You can't expect a ref to be 100% correct with so many difficult situations. If we apply your standards to every ref, I can't remember a single game where I'd give anything more than a 7/10.

The ref was as good as we could expect, 9/10 at least for sure.

Under Enrique Barca have won every single UCL game at home until last night when Allegri schooled him
Barca failed to score at home for the first time in 4 years

It's not true. It happened 2-3 minutes before the whistle.
Nope, it didn't.
