hi all, new to this forum but not so new to the scene of juventus forum ( especially for those who are familiar to xtratime).

Maybe not the best time to join but theres only one word for all this.

ahhhhhhhhh.

Absolutely horrendous, so much so that my whole day has been spent on pondering on how simply crap we played. Infact itll take a few weeks maybe a month. Of course if we managed to pull out a miracle i will take this all back. Nevertheless what I have learned from this is two points.

1) Why on earth were all the juve players like always *bleep* slipping on the turf, I once heard it was to do with the football boots but seriously I mean if that is the case shouldnt they have learned from that in the first time.

2) We just dont have enough resources. Seriously I mean what we lacked was some attacking midfielders yet when you look at the line up we dont have any. Its really dissapointing I mean whats even more embarrasing is we bring zala to "bolster" up our chances to score. When in reality the real porblem lies in providing.

For me there were only three players who played "decent". They are buffon, canavaro (despite him partially being blamed for one of the goals) and finally zambo. For me zambo was the only person who should commitment in going up the urgency the need apart from that mutu made a real clown of himself as did others. Viera? well personally I was never a big fan of him, yet I have to admit the press did one heck of a job to shine the light in his face and talk more about his emotions than the match itself.

Also if you notice carefully Viera said contradicting things to both the italian and english press.

To the english press he said it will be an emotional match at the beginning for him.
Whilst to the italian he says his fully focused on match and emotion will only come towards the end. I mean jeez make your mind up.. or even better dont talk to the press.

Camoranesi was no doubt outplayed I have to applaud flamini in his task in frustating camoranesi. Although many may blame camos job in acting silly in getting himself booked e.t.c.. I however believe he actually did try some sort of urgency and for gods sake was the only attacking player for us. As for the matter of him applauding at the gunner fans. I think it was frustation and I dont believe he had the intention in pissing capello off. Infact to be perfectly honest I would do the same. At one point I was so pissed off frustatingly that I almost broke my sofa lol. Now I know many people would say the referee was very much balanced e.t.c. I certainly think that in the first 10-15 minutes arsenal showed there physical presence so much so that in reality you would have expected the referee to stamp his authority straight onto the match and hand one of arsenal's players a card. But instead he gave it to camoranesi. There we certain instances where there were clean fouls and not given to us but yet the opposite was very much true. That and arsenals sheer counter attacking class brought nothing more but frustatation. When you actually think about it? you do come to one conclusion the press played a great deal out of this game. Oh we musnt forget that juve didnt even get a chance to train in the stadium.

Although not allowed to train in the stadium may seem a big thing but it certainly gives the players some confidence and a feel of how the pitch is like and I and most certainly any football minded person would agree that this is in fact true. Moving on zlatan really has to be the most inconsistent player i relaly think its time to either sell him or give him some bench treatement. I real feel sorry for nedved a player who always "atleast" gives his best and has stayed at the club just for champions league.

You hear month in month out that Juventus priority is to win the champions league. Yet the real fact is we didnt even attempt to win it. We should have *bleep* learnt from werder bremen, and now I feel it would have been better if we hadnt even got past werder, especially if we have to face the humiliation of playing in my eyes the worst football ever. ahhhh.

I admire the english mentality rough "cheats" but it works they use the term "divers", "cheater" e.t.c for the italians yet the real fact is they seem to posessing them very same skills and dont throw them out. I mean reyes reminds me of a certain inzaghi he just couldnt stop falling. Absolutely disgraceful.

Have we got a chance next week? hell no. I hope im prooven wrong but the real problem lies in the tactics and in some players attitudes. For me this is bad as the match we played against parma the day before lippi left. Seriously its time we have some fresh ideas into the club and play a little realistic in football. We need more attacking players ( not strikers). Only then will we win the champions league.

Now for those who have actually managed to read the above.. please ignore my keyboard frustation below thanks.

ahh felt a little better.

2-0 what a result, really expected much tougher game. Anyway it's not over yet, we should finish it off tho.
If you don't, you will be the laughingstock of Europe.

But I expected this result from the beginning. Juve didn't deserve to survive Bremen to begin with.

Another fine decision made by Crapello. For the love of God, please don't let him extend his contract with us.
don´t forget Maresca.. he is at least a player that can keep the ball or pass some nice passes... but cap:disagree:

Nice post, PhRoZeN, and welcome!

I've been lamenting our lack of playmaking options for a couple of seasons now...
thanks swag, Im up for signing a formal petition and opening the eyes of Moggi and co. As much as I would like to have the likes of riquelme, tevez, or someone called "icangive100%", I dont believe we will ever see that and it may just take a few more seasons before our eyes open.

I can already see capellos optimism in next weeks press "We reached the quater finals, we played terrific against arsenal and were unlucky to have lost the first leg".

Oh by the way the following attachment shows the underlying story. of "what really happened to viera last night". No wonder he was so emotional. :D

I'm not going to bash Vieira when he's down. I still think he's capable of being a solid player as he started this season, and he's been in a long patch of bad form.

But I wanted to slap the Juve front office when I first found out they wanted to partner Emerson up with another defensive midfielder.

Well atleast we had 4 Italian players in our starting team. With how many English players did Arsenal start?

Some of us really knew what could happen in england by just taking a look at both teams´s players and current form. Not to mention the mastermind behind all this disgrace.
You dont have to be a rocket scientist to foretell this kind of result.

Some of the architects of this greek tragedy are Capello and his beloved pupil Ibrahimovic, which from now on, for me, this pair have to leave turin for the sake of the team, at least the Don. And our classy midfield of course.

Ibra, oh well, we have to accept the fact that a striker with no support from behind cant do wonders, but this kid is just a special case. We bought him with the "wonderboy" etiquette in the coverbox, but now the don have just made him crap in his more pure form.
The few times a world class player like him get the ball, u expect at least "something". It just dont need to be a world class play anyways, but the Zlatan just does nothing. Is not just in this game... is like a stupid Deja Vu that repeat itself game after game, and that the defenders are tired of being reading.
He has no vision, he cant pass, for god´s sake he even cant aim at goal. This is unnaceptable for a player who is supposed to be legendary. His only strategy is to put his foot above the ball, "fake that he will do a nasty dribble", and then lose the ball like a dork.

But maybe im a bit too harsh against those 2, in fact, the problem goes much deeper than this.

Juventus was in the game just in the first 10 minutes, after that, was all arsenal.

But like everyone has mentioned, there is a reason for this, and the reason is that our midfield is pure muscle and no brains.... ZERO.
Like Buffon said, we try to repair our mistakes by "MUSCLING" our way in delle alpi, but when u face not one or 2, 3 classy and TECHNICAL midfielders that can create in every play and a sole striker that can out run the whole 11 players, u cant "muscle" ur way with nasty kicks and axes, because ull end full of yellow and red cards, like in fact happened and what will repeat in delle alpi again for sure.

Camoranesi was a total joke and a good example of what a proffesional needs to avoid and Zebina, well he has always being crap anyways and with Henry making a fool of him , u cant wait anything else but a crazy kick.

We managed to contain arsenal a little, but u just cant defend against a team like arsenal the whole 90, it takes a lot from our players not only physically, but psychologycal.

Whats the solution? to be dangerous in attack and force them to assume a more defensive posture if they dont want to receive a goal. The bad part is that we are TOOTHLESS in attack everytime we get the ball.... and because of this, not just arsenal, but any good team will not have a single reason to stop their onslaught against us.

Since the late Lippi era (since Zidane departure to be exact), our typical 4-4-2 formation is used with 2 muscular non technical def midfielders, u mention the names if u want. Well that could be covered with pace, but none of emerson or Viera have it. Since they dont have technich, they cant dribble past players with ease, but the real problem is that they cant create anything, at least not consistently. Our most dangerous player in mid is Nedved, and he is not even a technical player, but he knows how to use what he have got.

Our playrs in midfield are so isolated that they just cant chain or link a single play... u can notice that when we are trying to go out, but all stops when viera or Emo get the ball. Thye return it to cannavaro or thuram and those 2 pass it to camo or zambro to do a single run or a long pass to the lonely and useless zlatan. Ill not even mention Trezeguet because we all know his style of playing.

We need to change this points if we want to achieve something:

1-We need another coach:
Yes, Capello just doesnt work for Juve, he is too old and stubborn, will never accept his mistakes.

2-We need real technical defensive and offensive midfielders:
We cant muscle our way every single game. With different teams comes different tactics and we cant offer more than muscle in every game.

3-We need a total new approach in every game:
We need to really tweak the way we approach to the enemy. Is not just the players. Here is where a lot of psycology and tactics kicks in, hopefully with a new coach this can be changed.

I really think that with this last performances, damm we dont even deserve the scudetto. Like holdon said, dont be surprised if Milan cut that 8 point lead and catch us like last season. In fact i think we deserve to lose it to face our reality, instead of being sleeping in false promises and dreams.

And about the CL, well only a miracle can save us and maybe this time there will be not a tudor , or a zalayeta or a Wiese to save us.

PD: Kudos to Arsenal who played a wonderfull game
PD2: Arse fan, is ok to celebrate a great victory but stop being an arse.
