Campbell Back In Arsenal's Squad

Sol Campbell has been named in Arsenal's squad for the first time in over six weeks ahead of their match with relegation threatened Portsmouth.
The centre-back has been absent for one reason or another since walking out of Arsenal's defeat at Highbury against West Ham at half-time on February 1st.

Campbell was said to be suffering from emotional problems before getting injured, but returned for a reserve match in midweek and is now in contention to return to the first team.

Well he won't be at his 100%. That's for sure.

That's right. Sol wont play tomorrow against Pompey and thus not against Juve. But Wenger said he'll get his chance "quickly" - which means he will play the next premiership game after Juve mtach. And 2nd leg vs Juve. He's still the man in our defence

I think that the confusion came from Wenger's interview yesterday. He hinted that Reyes and Campbell would be in the squad on saturday.

In today's pre-match conference he said that they won't (which is evident in the link that RVP11 provided).

Sol Campbell is not "the man" in our defence, kolo toure is. Campbell was the man about two years ago before dreams of hollywood set in and he started playing like gash.

By the way, ive been supporting arsenal since the late 1980's and know stand by my Vieira comments. He is a legend but the last few years he has been half-hearting it and picking his games. It seems a few of the Juve fans are starting to pick up on this. At the start of the season he was full of life but now he has settled into midfield stroller.

I think that Arsenal's defence would only stagger with Campbel, right now..He was out of squad for a long period and Toure is much better option,so I think that Campbel won't be in the starting line-up against us.
