That's because Ciro is incompetent and should have been fired after the Bayern Game.
speculative

Is he still on the boat?!
unfortunately yes

Ferrara has had the misfortune of being offered a job of this stature before his time. On accepting it without an agenda of his own, he's also unfortunate to have been guided under the tenure of people who are less aware and more incompetent than him. To make matters even worse he has had no luck in terms of player availability for a better part of the season. His inabilities are clear, but then again, he never came with any guarantees. Not the ones a team like Juventus is looking for anyway. And he's not to blame for that.
it goes both ways. the management should know better than to give a 1st time head coach the reigns of a prized stallion. there are expectations to be met and awarding the job to him just complicated things.

i don't know what the logic/reasoning is behind the boards current stance on not firing Ciro yet, but the only obvious point is that they may not have anyone better to replace him with at the moment. beyond that its all speculation on the decision making or lack of decision making on the boards part. a lot of you may think he should be a man and resign but why? its his job until he is replaced or he leaves on his own accord. any one of you would take the same approach at your own jobs. until the management fields a suitable replacement they will not fire Ciro because everyone knows that it won't make things any better. Sacking him for the sake of things isn't the answer here. The club is in a real dilemma and doesn't need to complicate things even more by making rash decisions.

In a results driven business it's specualtive to say that the person who has the job of achieving results and failed at it is incompetent?
true

but its also situation based. if Lippi was plagued with injuries as we are currently and was unable to turn out a scudetto this season and was eliminated from the CL then would he be considered as incompetent?

btw i'm not trying to defend Ciro

I don't rate Lippi as highly as some here, I reckon he has declined since 2006 and is getting more stubborn with ridiculous call-ups a la Ciro. I do see your point, I'd say that I'd call Lippi senile or in the grips of dementia, probably not incompetent.

For my 8000th Post I ask for one thing:
Guus Hiddink in by the end of the week.

That was a verbal fight between Ciro and ex-Juve coach Maifredi. Considered as the worst Juve coach ever.

Maifredi blasting Ciro, people saying shut up, the other one saying watch watch you're saying...

Guys remember the Sampdoria game? What a show we had there, why didn't Ciro just stick with the 4-2-3-1? We had something good going on. Why did he have to go and ruin everything by going back to the 4-3-1-2? My god, look at the 3rd goal, Diego to Seba, Seba to Camo..Brings tears to my eyes :touched:

Pause at 7:22 when Diego has the ball and look at how many players are in front of him.

And again at 3:53. In that situation Diego would have just Amauri in the box and possibly Marchisio right behind him.

Whatever Ciro did (or Sampdoria didn't do), it worked.

He deployed a 4 2 3 1, with Giovinco on the left.

Yeah, but I guess Ciro thought that was waaaaay to offensive for his taste and he had to go back, old school Catenaccio.
