Oh come on, I can't believe that some of you are asking for 4-4-2 now, like that our problem layed in tactics. You were asking for changing 4-4-2 to 4-3-1-2, then to 4-2-3-1 and now we're closing the cycle. No formation in a world can suit our 11 randomly picked players, because they don't form a team (yet?). All I know is that changing coach every half a year won't help to build it.

1) He should look at his own performance(s) before criticizing others. Despite the crap game we played, the score should have been 1-1 halfway through the 2nd half. There's only 1 player to blame for that miss.
2) I can understand if he feels this way but this should be talked about with the staff & players, NOT with the press.
People, you should stop dreaming about us winning anything this season. Miracles only happen once in a decade or in Football Manager.
First of all, we don't have a solid winning team. Let's face it, Del Piero is getting old, Melo and Diego are still learning basic Italian words, our fullbacks are a joke, our youngsters are still young/getting injured and without a functioning midfield our attack in non-existent. With time, especially in the case of Melo, Diego and some of youngsters, the team will perform better but at the moment we are hardly a team that could be called winning material. We are playing with an incomplete team.
Secondly, Ferrara is still starting out. The best inventions in history have only been achieved by trail and error, and this is what Ferrara has been doing so far, as any new coach would. Ferrara after all is anything but dumb. His job would have been made easier if players wouldn't have been injured all the time (for example, didn't we play proper games before Sissoko and Marchisio were injured?)
If a team wants to win, especially a Champions League. It needs a whole squad, a great coach, a familiar working tactic and a bit of luck. Yesterday just showed us that we have none of those.
Simply put, you people should stop treating this Juve like the Juve of the old. Those days are finished. Gone. Kaput. We are still building a new squad with players getting used to the Italian game and others currently waiting to be replaced. We are still trying to find a new tactic that would suit the inclusion of players suck as Diego and still function after others like Del Piero leave. Calciopoli hit us harder than most people actually think and we were lucky enough to achieve what we achieved the last 2 seasons. Don't get spoilt.

We signed Ciro 3 games before the end of last season. Then, as the team improved the board thought that this is a good opportunity. The whole Pep comparison, the fact that what Ciro means to Juventus and Juventus supporters AND costs. Ciro is a cheap option.
In some ways we are walking on thin ice. What should we expect from this team, what is the board expecting. How good is good and how bad is bad.
I would not like to switch manager 5 rounds before the end of season again, because we would just keep that caretaker again. Just the way Ciro initially started.
I give my whole support to Ciro and all, but i have to be honest. I wasnt too keen on him getting the job after last season ended. I was thinking in the lines of, thank you Ciro for the caretaking situation. Lets now move on, lets make a new step.

what would you call the squad of last season, if this is already an incomplete team. we played more successful with worse players and that can not be only down to nedved.
that is a nice theory but you do not have to reinvent the wheel !
things like del piero as left midfielder did already turn bad, why again try that. this is only one thing ciro did wrong that already was tried and did exactly come to that result. you do not need to try everything and see if it fails if there are proven tactics and systems that will give you success in the short run...
he had the time to do experiments in the pre-season friendlies ... now it is far to late for such shit.

Diego plays bad and should look at himself first. Yes, I accept that.
But the same goes for 90% of our team and our stars. It simply can't be a coincidence that all of them play bad and all of them look so lost on the pitch.
Maybe they actually are looking at their bad performances and trying to fix that, but they simply can't do shit when there is no plan and no organization.
Ranieri didn't get so much shit because the guy actually had some kind of organized system and he had a plan. Maybe an ugly system, a 4-4-2 with lots of defending, but he knew what he wanted and especially against the big teams we performed well and managed to neutralize them. That alone implies that Ranieri was studying the opponents well before we played them.
Ferrara is obviously not doing even that and if players start calling on his tactics so early, then you know that you have a big problem.
Look at the situation with Del Piero yesterday. Ferrara tried a 4-3-1-2 and it failed. Then he tried a 4-2-3-1 that worked.
And every tactic, no matter if it's 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 etc will work if it suits the players. The 4-2-3-1 didn't work because it was 4-2-3-1, it worked because the players who played in that tactic were well suited for it.
Now Ciro took out one important factor in that 4-2-3-1 (Giovinco) and replaced him with a player who can't play there and admitted himself that he can't play there. Automatically the tactic fails when you don't have the needed players for that tactic.
But Ciro was afraid to switch back to the tactic that failed, and he decides to go with the tactic that worked, but with players who won't work in that tactic.
Absolutely no organization. Players aren't blind. They worked under many coaches. If they come out publicly criticizing, then i believe that they tried to solve the problems internally, but it didn't work.

But Alen, imo that's what's wrong with this.
Gigi admits that we (as a team) were bad, not organized. Clearly implying that the entire team needs to work together to sort it out.
Diego on the other hand says that we didn't play a good game but that it's up to the coach to fix things.
He should chose his words more carefully.

thats the biggest difference between Pep and Zero....Pep has an offensive mind, while our boy only knows defense, and it shows

There's the problem. There's an old saying that goes "It is better to be respected than loved". I think he's afraid to lay the hammer down, due to the fact that he has played with and against so many of his players.
And I think you are severely over estimating the influence of the Ultras and the supporters if they sack him.
If, per se, a Guus Hiddink were to come here, do you honestly think that the fans would complain?

As I said before, I give my managers at least a half a season to be fair. If we get kicked out of the Champions League, that will be about 50% of the season and will evaluate firing him then. But since he is a new manager, both to Juve and football itself, you have to give him time.
The problem is the system and that could potentially be turned around in one game.
I don't want to see this club turn into Inter. Is Hector Cuper available?

We saw how they protested Cannavaro. I'm not saying that the Ultras will fire bomb our headquarters if they sack Ciro, but I can't see some folks being happy about it. And I'm also not sure if they will be happy with a foreign manager.
Moreover, I'm fairly sure Ciro is respected just as much as he is loved.
