chevanton would be the perfect partner for Shevchenko. shev and pippo are not really a great partnership. both are great players but play better with with a support striker. so chevanton playing alongside one of them would work better in my opinion.
Gray, the problem with Di Vaio is that he lmay get into positions that an air man normally does, but in the end, he isnt that affective when given that opportunity. He is around 6'0", nothing too tall for a target man. You have Trez, Vieri etc..all peaking at 6'3" or 6'4", thats a target mans height.
If you remember Di Vaio at Parma, he was awesome simply because they built their team and play around Di Vaio. He was still missing a lot of chances, as many Parma fans have stated previously, but the fact that their play suited him to a tee still saw him get enough chances to bag 1 or 2 goals a game.
obviously not being first choice does affect his game, but even when given his chance, which he does get because trez and dp have been getting injured a lot since di vaio's arrival, he still has shown inconsistancy. He would score like crazy for a few games and then run dry for a few games.
Trezeguet and Di Vaio are two different forwards. I believe Lippi has to decide which type he wants to start in his team. What characteristics does he want from his main man upfront? whichever is it is, he should then go on to look for back up to that striker.
Gray, if three forwards are played, Del Piero, Miccoli and one of di vaio and trez would be even better.
