chevanton would be the perfect partner for Shevchenko. shev and pippo are not really a great partnership. both are great players but play better with with a support striker. so chevanton playing alongside one of them would work better in my opinion.

Gray, the problem with Di Vaio is that he lmay get into positions that an air man normally does, but in the end, he isnt that affective when given that opportunity. He is around 6'0", nothing too tall for a target man. You have Trez, Vieri etc..all peaking at 6'3" or 6'4", thats a target mans height.

If you remember Di Vaio at Parma, he was awesome simply because they built their team and play around Di Vaio. He was still missing a lot of chances, as many Parma fans have stated previously, but the fact that their play suited him to a tee still saw him get enough chances to bag 1 or 2 goals a game.

obviously not being first choice does affect his game, but even when given his chance, which he does get because trez and dp have been getting injured a lot since di vaio's arrival, he still has shown inconsistancy. He would score like crazy for a few games and then run dry for a few games.

Trezeguet and Di Vaio are two different forwards. I believe Lippi has to decide which type he wants to start in his team. What characteristics does he want from his main man upfront? whichever is it is, he should then go on to look for back up to that striker.

Gray, if three forwards are played, Del Piero, Miccoli and one of di vaio and trez would be even better.

Yeah, i already talked about the possibility of Miccoli, Del Piero and another striker, but I can't help but think that Trez, Di Vaio and one of Miccoli and Del Piero would be very effective

with di vaio, you get a hard working forward, a lot of movement etc...trez isnt as active del piero is slowing down a little and isnt as active as he used to be.

del piero, miccoli and di vaio would see a lot of chances for us upfront.

Yeah sounds great!! But that means our style of play will change,,,, We would not rely on our wingers to cross balls from the side as much...Coz we don't have a target man. We would be playing more passes in, and through the middle.

You guys think we shud sell Trez, and replace him with Chevanton? He seems to have a good physical presence as well.
I AGREE WITH THIS ,HE WOULD BE A GOOD REPLACEMENT

Y do we want another guy who can hit freekicks, dribble and has no proven aerial ability. We have Dp AND Miccoli for that. If cheva starts scoring more regularily from open play, particularily via headers, then i would start to think he would be really worth it.

nahhh... sell Di Vaio insteadt... Chevanton still not proven enough to be our starting striker...but we could give him a shot on Dv's reserve spot. Dv is a great striker and all but i think he would prosper in other smaller teams..

Yes, he is better. He scores more and he's more influential to his team. Chevanton is better than Miccoli today and last season.

hard to say really. miccoli was the wonder boy for perugia last seaosn. he destroyed all the big teams and even knocked out juve of the coppa italia as well. chevanton is shining as miccoli did.

the only difference is that when chevanton joins a big team next season, will he be able to back it up? Miccoli has done very well at juve for the limited chances he has had.

its easier to shine at smaller clubs than it is when you have to compete with stars at a big club.

Some don't agree, since at bigger clubs, you have much better players supplying you with good passes and balls.
