I don't know why people continue to deny these facts. We are really playing with fire with the way we are so inept in attacking, and it's going to hurt us in the future, just like it did against the middle table teams last season. Giovinco could potentially be a help to this problem but I think Ranieri is too afraid to use him or doesn't think he fits in his beloved 4-4-2.

But I've said this plenty of times and I'm sure I'll be saying it again and again and again..
if this cat is too scared he could use the diamond FFS atleast we would have just one DM for once and have a creative link.

if we had one dm last night we would have lost 3-0- at least, don't forget our midfield was up against five of them
people need to consider that in their assesment of our players

word.

Besides if it wasn't for camos injury I think we would have scored and created more.

We were atrocious, nevertheless, definetely the greatest thing ever. I watched the match and here some very honest, personal player ratings:

Buffon: 7,5 Despite all their chances, he never looked like being beaten. Made a great save in the second half to keep us alive and looked professional throughout. I think goal.com said it best 'Juve are so lucky to have him'.

Molinaro: 4,5 Just nothing. Pure nothingness. He has great pace, but nothing to do with it. The era of De Ceglie has begun.

Legrotaglie: 7 Deserves some credit for keeping them out. He isn't perfect and I thought he was caught out a few times positionally. His effort and his tackles were important thought and also won everything in the air.

Chiellini: 8 I thought the Zenit forwards were pulling him out of position at times, hee is so strong though, he wins every challenge. He is the new symbol of Juve, his heart and determination and pure ability is the way we play. Just a beast on the night.

Grygera: 8,5 Superb. Honestly brilliant on the night. Won so many challenges and did so much running. I feared for him tonight, but he really produced and for all the criticism we give him when he does wrong, he deserves a lot of praise tonight. He added so much to how solid we were.

Nedved: 6 Just did not give us the performance we expected. You could see how nervous he was. Hopefully now we have won and debuted again he will calm down, but when Camo went off I expected him to step up and it didn't happen. He is a legend of this team, no question, and I hope to see him blast back to form.

Poulsen: 6 Good defensive positions, but just didn't offer anything else tonight. Momo was making the tackles, so Poulsen should have played some good passes or carried the ball forward. He's been good of late, but he seemed content sitting in the defensive midfiled position when we need someone to carry it forward. In fairness, maybe we needed to make sure we did not concede but we just don't have enough creativity in the centre of the park.

Momo: 7 Just a pain for them all night. He must be such a bitch to play against. Could not offer anytihng going forward but his tackles and committment were terrific. He had no positional sense, just ran man-to-man chasing the ball. It was contageous, he has really tightened us up in the middle of the park and, at least defensively, was great tonight.

Camo: 6 Just did not make enough of an impression as Zenit were defending tough. Without him though, and especially no giovinco, we have nothing to offer creatively. Massively missed when he came off.

Brazzo: 5 Long aimless balls and crazy tackles. Runs like nobody else though and to some extent effort must be appreciated.

Trezeguet: 5 Can only be effective in a team that is creating chances. Not his fault at all tonight. One decent ball in the middle may have sufficed. We just didn; produce it.

Del Piero: 8,5 Had moments of brilliance and then nothing. Also played some poor crosses if we are honest. His talent made him shine brighter than anything else on the pitch though. Some lovely trickery and the Zenit forwards could not deal with him. Then that moment, that glorious moment, just utterly superb. An amazing free-kick by a special man who deserved that moment.

De Ceglie: 6,5 Could not get forward as much as we could have hoped, but filled in well defensively and made himself known. He is better defensively than we think. He did enough tonight to win the starting position.

Amauri: n/a CR messed up by not putting him on earlier. If we are only playing long-balls, then he is our only striker who can control them and hold it up. Was lively when he came on and nearly created another goal. For even just a few minutes, did a great job for us.

Ok, that my ratings love em or hate em. Now i have to share something with my fellow Juve fans and I feel even a topic should be opened on this. Those idiotic sky (english) pundits. Hoddle, Gullit, Souness and Richard Keys. Talking about the Juve game they said:

- Juve would not challenge an English team and did not impress enough ( Despite the fact we had just beat a team that PUMPED manure).

- Del Piero, and get this, must have COPIED ronaldo's technique at hitting freekicks and the keeper was at fault. (OUTRAGEOUS, del was hittin those freekicks when ronaldo was playing kick-ups in madeira) If rooney had hit that free-kick, they would have sucked him off and called him the greatest.

-An all-english final definetely. Maybe true, maybe not. But on the evidence of that night when we beat one of the best teams in europe and inter thrash panathanaikos, contrasting with manure unable to win at home and arsenal are LUCKY to draw with Kiev the claim was a little premature and dare i say, a teeny weeny bit OUTRAGEOUDLY BIASED.

I hope that there are others, good juve fans here, who are sick of these narrow-minded opinions from guys who are getting paid thousands to tell me about football?!?! I would split their wages amongst all you guys, becuase this is where I learn about football.

Just a random question guys, does anyone know what the song was that was being played into the stadium before the players came out and the CL anthem came on? If anyone heard it or knows it would be much appreciated if you could share it with us, Thanks

First and foremost i just want to reiterate that were against a very good team last night. I saw them completely destroy the CL champions with relative ease and in style. They play a very good brand of football and some of their players are great on the ball and can dismantle any team.

Having said all they came up against and as vlatko pointed out we had a huge psychological barrier with some of our players, but we still restricted them to a few clear chances.

Our problems going forward are evident. Without camo out there we can't rely completely on neddy. Also i don't like our defenders hitting those aimless long balls, they were just terrible especially from Legro. Finally our counter attacks weren't very good, when we were facing a team that left a lot of gaps in the back.

The good thing is that we held our own defensively and the midfield defended well in the second half. Our experienced players are the ones that give us that extra edge and that will be the case until the rest of the team steps up.

Another thing going our way is that we still have zanetti getting, a player that i still think will give us something extra than poulsen. Also once Giovinco gets back that will be a huge boost. Long term i think we are only going to get better.

Molinaro, well..I understand why he started and rightfully subbed. He looked like a little lamb between the wolves.

Chiellini, Mommo, and what can we say about the Captain. I heard the guy from the local tv saying how Gerrard always steps up, well our captain was "Captain fantastic" last night and deserved a second goal.

Also credit goes to Grygera too, who has improved defensively and even a bit offensively this season. He kept Arshavin and Danny quiet for most of the game.

I think you were very generous in your ratings and about that other stuff I wouldn't be too bothered by that in the light of the recent frictions between the two leagues. Last night's game was not a good reflection of what we are truly capable of.
off course they are biased, probably every country thinks of their league as the best, except for Belgium, they are the worst and they know it.
Just chill man, we won and in the end that is all that matters, in time nobody will know how good or bad we played only the result will be archived.

hmm didn't catch that but when they were coming out from half time you could hear the Apollo 440 - Stop the rock song playing , maybe the one at the begining was also that or Fatboy Slim - Right here right now ,this is just a random guess cause i've heard that song playing a couple of times when juve was playing

there is nothing more to say about... these english guys are just a joke they praise england and all the teams like god.... but wow i just realised that england won just one faked world cup and at clublevel they aren'T half as dominant as they wish they were... just wondering 5 years ago we ahd 3 italian teams in the semi finals but noone talked about an italian domination.... times will change and their russian arabian money will fucked them up one time...

englishmen and all those associated with the english game have no idea what they talk about... when del piero was whipping in free kicks guys like souness where being kicked around by their clubs... ronaldo puts in two free kicks which dip in and he becomes the creator of a new type of kick... maybe sourness and co should watch this small video
http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=lNXJzkTgtWc&feature=related
alex was putting in those kinda dipping free kicks at will... ronaldo was running around in his underwear kicking at paper balls at that time...

P.S. I especially love the one from the left corner... somebody lays the ball off a little and alex curls it high and dips it to the right top corner... vicious...

Credit to Zenit for the way they play. It's a very strong team that can beat ANY team in the world.
My MOM was Del Piero but if that shot didn't go in, my MOM would have been Tymoshchuk. That guy was everywhere. He alone was doing the job Sissoko and Poulsen were doing for us, and, bar the last 5-10 minutes when Sissoko was great, Tymo won more balls than both our DM's together.
The Ukrainian was frustrating me all match long with his (perfect) tackles.

Just imagine a Sissoko-Tymo combo, with 2 great attacking midfielders in front of them.

Agree on the ratings man, exactly my feelings.

It wasn't our good game,it wasn't bad either,but i saw a team that FIGHTS really hard,and never give up,and i like it,and i'm proud of it.

Yeah there are few points,

-De Ceglie owns Molinaro, and should be our starter.
-We lack creativity when we don't have Camo,so better start to use more Gio.
-Amauri will be a GREAT ST for us really,he has the skill, the size,he fights, nice technique,i LOVE Trez, but i think Amauri is our next thing upfront...

AND OFCOURSE ALE!!!!:touched:
There is no words to describe him, simply our best player ever, and will ever be.
We love you soooo much Alex...amazing,king!!!

About all the haters,as you said about those fvckers fron England,Sky...
Believe me,here in Israel during the whole match i was hearing stuff like Juve weak,Chelsea is better,if Juve manage to go trough it will be a suprise...Jokes on Sali...they don't even know all the players in our squad....

and you know what,FUCK THEM ALL!
they don't even know what we have been trought all these past 2 years...
we should just push and praise our team, and let them do the work, the other will get it in time...

FORZA JUVE!!!:ultra:
