playing 4-3-3 at home is what ranieri should do. We need to create and dominate from first minute till the end. Playing with 4-4-2 won't help alot specially in creating chances and they'll probably defend so its gonna be even harder for us.

We can use chiellini as our LB in those games (don't think they'll cause many troubles to legro and mellberg in the center). Those small teams are tricky and can cause many problems specially if we didn't attack them fiercly....

Í didn't say they were. I remember I said a few days ago that the firt leg against Artmedia is our most important match of the season.

It certainly won't be as easy as the name of the opponent suggests.

Artmedia, 3 years ago, were the biggest surprise of the CL. In the qualifying rounds they eliminated Celtic (after beating them 5:1 in Slovakia) and then they eliminated pretty strong Partizan on penalties.
In the group stages they missed out on the 2nd place by one single point and they finished 3rd in the groups, ahead of Porto (they've beaten Porto 2:3 in Portugal and there are very few examples after that where Porto lost at home)

Anyway, i don't really know how good today's Artmedia is compared to that Artmedia from 2005/06 but one thing is clear : they will defend with 10 men and play counters.
Even if we lead 1:0, or even 2:0 they will defend. The problem will occur if we find it hard to brake their 10 men defense, the result stays 0:0 for a long time and our guys start getting nervous.
But if we do brake the deadlock we should attack till the end, without stop. It will be of huge importance if we get a big win. That way our best players get 2 and 1/2 weeks of rest before serie A starts.

I refuse to even think about such a possibility.
I'm talking about the big importance of winning the first match with a big margin. That way we save ourselves from 2 weeks of hell, expecting what will happen in Slovakia in the return leg.

Chiellini out of position mainly because molinaro is/was injured, and no one knows if he will be available for the game.

Could you tell us more about artmedia? I agree with you, they are cup-winners (or so) so they can't be that lame... what formation are they playing? Who are the players to watch out for?
Well Artmedia is currently the best team in Slovakia. They won the championship and the cup in the 2007-2008 season.

Well recently they played something like 4-1-3-1-1, that means they play with only 1 true DM (compared with us), than with 3 ceative and active midfielders (who can defend very well as well), a SS and a striker.

As I said it before they are very solid in defending and at counter attacks.

The first and the most important thing is to eliminate their main man: Kozák, who is the best assistman in Slovakia. If we can keep him quiet, we are on the right track.

Hi,

Can You tell me why is every1 putting Chiellini out of his CD position? He played at LB one game and now he has to play there? I definately disagree.

My second point: Please DON´T underastimate Artmedia!

Yes they are no WC team, but for example the ahve Kozák, who has unbelievable assists and overall they are a solid team.

I´m from Slovakia so I know them very well. They are very solid at defending and they have killer counter attacks.

But anyway we are Juve, we should win and go through.

Chiellini was originally a left back and an extremely good one as well before he was converted to CB, mainly because of injuries to the squad. He played at LB for the Azzurinni when he was their captain and was menacing...in fact thats where he played during Zambro's last year with us...he was Zambro's back up...so LB is also his "natural position" he is so good he has 2 "natural" positions :)

What is most important is that we bring the game to them and game on right from the moment the clock starts ticking. That way hopefully we'll intimidate them and thus control and have the upper hand. (Okay nothing new.)

So let's just hope Juve will do it. This is our first important match and a lot of people have been saying we have one of the most impressive attacking lineups - let's put that on show Juve.

I wouldn't even want to think about what will happen if we don't seal the deal with Artmedia..
