Whose team is this? If it was Capello in charge I can imagine how the reaction would have been here, I have seen much much better matches from Capello, but no one showed these satisfaction or the support Ranieri is getting endlessly.

When you praise this performance and do not criticize anything, then that means your praise includes Ranieri aswell.
This team is Juventus.

This team needs a radical change in playing style, we are not effective, nor attractive. Why cant this old man risk for once in his life? Its 1:0 damn it, you ll need 2 goals in Turin anyway...give Gio a chance in a cocky game for once.

in all honesty i dont see why u guys are upset?!?! i think juve played a great game.
In what way did we play a great game though? The movement and passing of the ball was frankly embarrassing. And such mediocre team performances do not bode well for the future when we will be under pressure to score in the return leg.

Noone mentioned the name Ranieri until you did. The critical ones didn't, and those who feel we had a decent game didn't either.

How much more attacking do you want?

We looked better once Marchionni came on. Then Trezeguet came on for Sissoko.

It would have been foolish to be more adventurous than that in the first leg.

but it was all our fans that you could hear tonight
We had our spells but then was largely due to the fact that we had a dominating second half. However regardless, I spotted a few incidences where when we were taking corners or throwings how hostile the english fans were getting at the likes of marchionni and chiellini.

Anyone who is proud of that performance needs a reality check as they seem to tolerate mediocrity. For this side to make any sort of impact in Europe then the likes of molinaro, legrottaglie, marchionni, sissoko etc have to be dropped in favor of quality. I am sorry but I had to dissect this side in my write up as they were piss poorhttp://www.footballclubsblog.com/2009/02/26/the-premiership-supremacy.html
Piss poor? The 2nd half was our half. They had couple of chances in the 1st half (Drogba both) one of them was a goal. Other than that we controlled the game and were anything but piss poor.

Then you are a fan of mediocrity :lol2:

    That's the superior being's logic.

these mediocre performances are because our players are mediocre, its not the coach's fault entirely. our first 15-20minutes cost us the game other than that at the end of the first half we had more possession, i know we didnt make anything of it though, and second half we dominated really. i know it wast perfect but in the end 1-0 isnt to bad away from home. its all to play for in torino. im not praising mediocrity but im not saying it was a horrible result either. i agree we can do better and hopefully we can do that in the next leg.

Why don't you mention the efforts we had then?
Uh, I did. :shifty: We had two good chances.

But Chelsea troubled us far more than we troubled them. I know many of you don't really care whether or not we can string together more than three passes though. That's why I'm sort of wasting my finger cells here.

ok here is why i think its a great game by juve, we started out soo shaky and thats normal specially cos we dont have enough players who r used to these big games in the champions league, we conceded ion the first12 mins and thats when juve started going forward. the second half was all juve's half andy u cant deny we played the better football, we created the most chances and we had most of the ball. there were some dreadful passes i give u that but u could feel juve were really trying hard until the 93 min. compare this preformance with the one we had with arsenal in 2006 when we had alot of world class players. u will realize that this team actually gave all in the second half we just needx to concentrate in the passing bit and the feeding of amauri and del piero up front. its not the best juve can give tonight i give u that but we had a good game andy.

i think in the return leg marchisio should start he added alot of spark in our game and hopefully we can come out with sth.

Go check some match facts before posting. Chelsea had 297 complete passes we had 295 complete passes.

You said we had two good chances and at the same time you mentioned three Chelsea chances, a big difference, right? ONE MORE CHANCE
