Tiago? :D

Yes, he had a tough time. One very good pass to Del Piero (Ale's chance) and that was all from Tiago.

Minute 70. It's all Juve and Chelsea fans are shitting their pants. Corner after corner but they're giants and Amauri is well marked. We completely won the midfield after minute 60. But we can't create a good chance.

Chelsea are pushed by Juve to defend the result, they're not doing it on purpose.

Haa, you can see the match much better when you watch it for the second time. :)
are we loosing at the second time also?

Notice how our domination pretty much coincides with Marchionni coming on.
Our domination actually started with Marchionni. :agree:
Chelsea is losing every ball at midfield for 10 minutes in a row. I seriously suggest to everyone to watch the match again and i wonder if they'll say how we were outplayed and tactically outsmarted.

Btw, it's very disappointing and not fun anymore that our opponents are playing based on "don't foul in the danger zone".

There was a scene where the camera took a few shot at the Chelsea fans. Their expression was pretty distraught, think they have yet to see a side that push Chelsea so far back in the bridge ... :D

Yes i understand that but there is certainly some inconsistency here between statistics posted by various renowned sites.
Yeah they are just all using different methods, thats why i never take any notice of possession stats, they dont show anything and have no significance

:agree: after 20 minutes we had Chelsea on the back foot, but i cant help to think that is also because they took their foot off the gas a bit after going a goal up

Unfortunately we are. But at least now i can watch it without emotions and i can be sure about everything i say, which means that almost everything you and some others said about the match is wrong.
so what did i say wrong. Dont get me wrong but that comment of yours sounds a bit smartass :D

what would a trident look without Camo?

    Buffon
    Grygera-Mellberg-Legrottaglie-Chiellini
    Sissoko-Poulsen-Marchisio
    Amauri-Trezeguet-Del Piero

    ?

My guess is that Neddy will play so it's too risky.

If De Ceglie makes it back (unlikely) heck it would be more than worth playing him in that position. But then only coaches like mourinho know how to take a risk when they see a liability (as we saw santon out performing ronaldo yesterday). Seriously though we aint out of choice. I know we are restricted but even if it means playing a player out of his preferred position we could very well handle the threat again.

As for the goal yes it was a mess up and molinaro couldnt be blamed for it but that doesnt justify his performance and how he was totally owned, he could only be greatful that kalou was feeling the tiredness and that hiddink had opted to swap the flanks and test our right side instead.
We're certainly extremely limited. Our preferred back up for both LM and LB is injured, and too inexperienced for these games as of yet. I have always championed DC as the LB of the future... but I don't think now is the time to throw him in there. I mean, he doesn't even regularly play against the weaker sides in Serie A.

Everything I've seen and read about the prodigy Santon points to him being a major force for many years to come. As in, one of the best defenders in world football. I know it's premature to say that type of thing, but he was AWESOME against United, given the circumstances. DC is not a very solid defender yet; he's still better offensively than defensively at the moment IMO.

One reason they also switched sides was that Molinaro still had good wind, and was active (if unskilled); he still had some pace to track attackers, where as Mellberg isn't so quick... ever.

Grygera's best game was at LB right?
I don't remember that...Which match was that, Mark? I remember that last year Grygera had a few good games at LB.

i think if i had to replay this match again i would have played 3 in the centre of midfield. sissoko tiago and marchiso/poulsen. to give neddy and camo more freedom and push chelsea's fullbacks back thus protecting our fullbacks better.

and play amauri up front on his own to allow juve to settle into the game thus bringing a fired up dp on for the final 20 minutes.

anyway opinions are like arseholes everybody has one and everyone think's their one does not stink.

as said earlier our 6000 fans rocked stamford bridge. so ranieri has to be brave to take the initative in turin and score the first goal of the match be it in the first 10 minutes or the last minute.

if juve go 1-0 up in turin the atmosphere will be white hot and we will see what chelsea are really made of.

Ranieri has some big decisions i would like to see neddy deployed in the same central role as man utd play giggs.

    gio neddy momo camo/marco

would provide plenty of service to our front two.

i sense extra time in turin, pity we dont still have zalayeta he likes these occasions!!

I dont think we will see Trident. Ranieri is going with experience so expect Nedved to play.

Also what is the condition of Camo-s. Marchionni actually had an impact today, so maybe start him in the second leg?

We should have used trident today, earlier, like from 70 minute.

Starting with trident can be very risky. What if things dont work out, then what?? bring on a DM for a forward? :D and hope things work out.
