Just checked it and it seems that we have to be in the first 24 teams in order to have a chance in going into the next round (1-8 are qualified automatically but I doubt we will achieve that), 9-24 will compete for the last 8 spots.
25 and etc will end their European path.
Total 36 teams I understand. each side will face 8 different teams ( I guess 2 of each pot)
