I actually don't mind it as much as I thought I would. I like the single table format and I like the "bye" that the top 8 teams get.

I like it too. You get to play 8 different teams instead of 3 in the group stage, and it reduces the risk of group stage elimination due to one or two bad matches. Galatasaray-Juventus will not happen again.

I say between 9 and 24, but closer to 9 than 24. We won't be eliminated, but we won't be among the top 8 and skip the pre-knockouts.

Agree. And you get to play some really big teams early in the competition.

For a club like JJ that haven't been in the competitive CL scene since Ronaldo days, it will give us an indication of where we stand in Europe.

Oh, I think we'll be in the top 8. Especially if we get a favorable draw from Pot 1.

Pot 3 and 4 will make up half our matches. And our opponents from Pot 2 have to be Bayer, Atletico, Benfica, Brugge, or Shakhtar. Again, a favorable draw here with our Pot 2 opponent and I think we're basically assured top 8 if we play like the talent we have in our squad.
