I cant remember but we were a great team that lost to one of the top 5 teams in history - Definitely no shame about it..

Tbh the only impressive side I've seen this season so far is Liverpool. Boy, they know how to move as a unit, even if they play a shit game. We'd struggle as hell against them.

We haven’t had the pace and athleticism in attack to counter like they do for years now. We did in 2014-15 with Morata-Tevez and Vidal/Bobby P as the CAM, especially in that stretch when Pirlo was injured and Marchisio played Regista... some brilliant counter attacking play that season, so much athleticism and pace in midfield and attack, but since then we haven’t had the players for it. We saw little bits in 15-16 when Morata played and Pogba was further up the pitch in support. But since then just little bits of it and on rare occasions. I’m sure if Dougie C had stayed fit and in form more often, we would have seen it a little more.

Sit back and defend?

Lazio didn’t sit back and defend all game and spanked us twice. Napoli had over 50% possession and made more passes than us and spanked us too. And Verona had 50% possession and took the game to us for much of the match. If anything we sat back and tried to play on the counter (both our goal and Dougie C’s came on counters), because Verona was taking the game to us.

Now this style of ours is going to work against far better teams in CL? Sure thing.

The only way it happens is if Chiellini gets back and performs like never before overcoming our midfield awfulness... Chiellini is good but there is a certain degree as of to how much he can help...

Our midfield sucks and this is why we will be eliminated in the QF...
We probably got the easiest draw and we should use the time in order to make the team work like a team..
Our current situation is that we should rather pick a 4-2-3-1 formation and skip the midfield straight balls forward and use Bentancur as a more defensive role + make Pjanic wake up as lets face it our mid will get run by anyone anyway so better go for a different style of play..

This wont happen because:
1. Sarri wont change his formation as he is way too stubborn for this
2. Our midfield will stay crap
3. Pjanic will probably not be going to wake up
4. Bentancur will not be used in this role (which is partly a good thing as his current role is probably his best role...)

Lets face it.. We would be lucky not to lose 4-0 to Liverpool in each leg with our current play..
Its not about sitting back or attacking but more of how good you do what you can do and we currently are good with bending over...

Ohh and losing the Scudetto to get a fluke CL win would not make me happy.. I want us to earn it or at least show we earned it by at least winning the scudetto..
