Porto an obvious choice. After that United and Tottenham. Allegri already outplayed United twice and if we get to play them twice more, we will annihilate them, no matter their newly found confidence. Tottenham a little trickier than United, because they proved to be a tough opponent for us, but, just like United, their minds will also be on securing the EPL top 4 and the bigger money that CL qualification guarantees.
Ajax, I'd avoid for now, although I know that our experience will prevail if we face them.
I wouldn't mind Bayern either and I'll cheer for them tonight.
This is not same Utd. They were toxic under Mo. Solskjaer has much better team harmony. There is belief. Also give the race for top 4 Utd have more reasons to do well in CL and go far.

Of course if Ronaldo produces magic like last night no one is unbeatable but yeah this Utd team is dangerous. Also they have these kids who have nothing to lose.

Both of them dont need to lose to get eliminated, goal draw is more than enough for Lyon and Liverpool, and I wouldnt write off Pool, I think they will score the goals they need to go to 1/4 final. Lyon is a nice talented team but no, Barca will bring their A game and kill them with a decent goal margin.

Barca to win with -1,5 asian handicap and over 2.5 goals in Munich! Kudos, all! :bambi:
You're right i forgot about that, nonetheless i still think Bayern will qualify, they have too much experience at this level

I just have a feeling pool will do it, and i really don't want to face them
Allegri will take notes tonight. For some weird reason I actually think Kovac found a way to deal with them, Bayern home and away are also two different teams.

The question is if we can outscore them, if we just make sure to do so, then we at least don't have to worry about the away goal rule

Pool hasnt been convincing lately. Its going to be tight but Bayern usually show up at home. Narrow win. Although score draw is enough for Pool but playing for draw can be dangerous. If Bayern come with their A game attitude i think Pool are out.

Would love a Lyon surprise but the game is in Spain so its Barca going through. Although 1-1 will be enough i cant see Lyon holding on.

Before first leg I thought Bayern would go through and I see no reason to change that opinion. Bayern need to take it easy and remain patient though, but in my opinion they are more versatile than Liverpool and that will be the difference.

What surprises me the most is Salah going from a top goal scorer performance last year at EPL and even UCL and now not showing up nearly as often. I wonder if last year was like a one-off for him like some players have in their careers.

Bayern to win 3-1 and Lyon to draw 1-1.
Would love to see both Liverpool and Barca knocked out.
Barca out would be a dream. Then the only difficult opponent would be City. I never rated them in the past and even if they're not experienced, they're a force to be reckoned with this season. I'd fancy us over 2 legs, but it'd be contested and difficult

I can see a scoring draw between Bayern and Liverpool

People say that 0-0 is a good result for the away team but to me it always has been a better result for the home team. Also the premise suits Klopp's brand of football
It's still advantage Bayern for me, as i think they are going to win at home, but a high scoring draw is just as likely :agree: I could live with both, but Bayern look like the better team again recently, so i wouldn't mind if serial loser Klopp throws them out for us.

Believe it or not, I'm most worried about Man United and Spurs, they've definitely sacrificed some animals to get this far in the CL.
Seriously though, we can beat Barca. If we keep Suarez quiet, they will have a tough time.

City's defense would melt like butter in the hands of the GOAT. Plus if Juve keeps pressure throughout the game like yesterday they will get denied easily.

But not because they trashed a relegation struggler like the current Schalke, after almost losing to them (which wouldn't even have been undeserved imo) away, right?

If we play to the maximum of our abilities Man United is going to be dismantled. They've been outrageously lucky, and we could have thrashed them in both Old Trafford and at the Allianz. Max won't make the same mistakes

Spurs is not easy though

I don't think they'll win the Champions League and this is not that much about that game that I rate them this year. It's just that I don't like playing Pep teams, the Bayern game in 2016 left a scar on me

I honestly haven't watched your team bar against Liverpool this year, it's just that pool are very hot and cold, so if their finishing in on point they are trouble.

Dont want to face liverpool. I think they are one of the few teams we might lose against and probably bigger threat than bayern.

Good thing is how tough bayern are at home, they have good chance of eliminating pool
