They are a joke in European football, but as Oscar Wilde once said; "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about" - and that's your team.
How can they be a joke and at the same time not be talked about? That doesn't work. Here's some other quotes:

"People laugh at Arsenal and see them as a bit of a joke at the moment." (Ian Wright MBE - January 2018, ex-Arsenal Striker and their second highest goalscorer of all time).
"Genetically, we are behind." (Gordon Strachan - Scotland Manager, after his side missed out on a World Cup play-off place in Oct 2017).

Oh dear. Your team is the one nobody talks about.

Interesting quote from WGS, a man known to make sarcastic jokes in press conferences. Here are a few more.

I'm not going to bite on your first statement this time. There's rival banter and then there's Arsenal Fan TV type banter and this is the latter. Good for you if you've avoided the press to such an extent that you've not noticed them selling our entire first team to Real Madrid and mentioning our players every single day.

Great link to the Strachan quotes though. We need to see more of him on TV!

P.S. As a Scot based in S.America I thought you'd have more affinity with Spurs than Arsenal. No? Dave Mackay, Steve Archibald, Richard Gough (ah no, he went to Rangers), Ossie Ardiles, Ricardo Villa, Pochettino etc.

Imagine spending 90 mil on a player and he goes on a summer eating binge gets fat for the first 6 months of each season.

:snoop:
what do you mean, spending 90 mil on a player? :shifty: I thought we bought a tournament eater to lead our competitive speed eating team who on occasion replaces our starter Mandzukic in our football team?

imagine spending 200mil on a player and he gets injured for your most important game
Imagine spending 400mil on 2 players and they get injured for your most important game

"But Kylian Mbappe went off at half-time to add to PSG's injury woes before next week's Champions League last-16 second leg with Real Madrid."

PSG should have the quality to beat RMA even without Neymar. However Madrid's winning mentality is probably too much for PSG regardless of that
Why so? Madrid's midfield and defense is substantially better than PSG on paper. And the attack still has Ronaldo.

Momentum for Tottenham is definitely a big plus for us

I think we should go through if we play to our potential

We played one of our worst games ever against Tottenham and still came away with a draw so if we play anywhere to our level we should go through

but but Messi is a CM

to add to those stats, the GOAT poacher has also the most assists in CL history, and most in CL knockout stage history. it looks meh when you compare it to Messi, i know, but still fantastic achievements

Didnt know 2 offside goals should count as well

Doesent take away from him he is really good though :D As a pure goalscorer probably the best ever
boy, you guys are the favorite punching bag of all the great poachers in recent history. 1st Super Pippo, now CR. guess they both idolized Gerd Muller as kids and are specially motivated when playing Bayern
