Guys, I'm moving from Bulgaria to the UK on the 25th of May and since I'll be living in Birmingham, I am tempted to go to Cardiff for the final. The distance is less than 200km, but I am not really aware of the bus/train situation. Anyone familiar care to summarize what's the best and cheapest way to get there? I don't plan on accommodation as I'll be celebrating the cup all night :) no jinx intended
 Welcome to UK, enjoy you're stay :)

Remember when @Fred was trying to say that Monaco was on our level, and not overrated. :lol2:

What a bonehead. Shit fucking team. Only got to the SF because they played rubbish teams.
I think you either misunderstood what I said, or you're intentionally being a bonehead to use your words.

I'll keep it as simple as I can this time:

- I said Monaco weren't being given enough credit by people because they're not a big name, yet they are a top 5 team in Europe this season.
- I said you were being harsh to say they only got to SF because they played rubbish teams, because its too much of a black and white way to look at things if you consider City and Dortmund shit teams. Those teams could stake a claim to being in the top 10 teams of Europe this season. These are the kind of teams you expect to play in the round of 16 and round of 8.
- I actually agreed with you when you said that it would be a massive disappointment for Juve not to beat them. Of course it is. To be honest I didn't expect such an emphatic win, especially not beating them by two goals in France, but IMO that game was more of a testament to Juve's strength than Monaco's weakness. If you go on to win the treble, then they'd have lost to a team that won the treble, beat Barcelona 3-0, and didn't concede to them in 180 minutes.
- I never said Monaco was on Juve's level. When you first replied to me, I told you I wasn't comparing them to Juve just saying it won't be an easy game.

It was an easy game. Monaco is levels bellow Juve and the rest top teams. They are good, but not extraordinary or anything special. As I said it would be an easy game and it was, they are just not that good.

I get your point, but City and Dortmund are still shit teams, man. City especially. Maybe your friend Pep can get some sort of tactical awareness thing going, but so far it isn't happening.

It was, which is something I didn't really expect.

But then again you beat them by the same difference that you beat Barca.

Also, who is better than them this season? Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich. There isn't much between them and Atletico, this season Atletico weren't as good as they usually are.

Plus, look at how Real defeated Atletico, more or less the same as monaco's result with Juve.

Its like Ocelot said. Who is better than them.

You're thinking in extremes here. Either you're a top team or you're a shitty team. When you compare teams, its all relative. How many teams are better than City this season? If you really think about it, you'd barely find 7 or 8 teams that are definitely better. The implication would be that other than those 7 or 8 teams every other team is shitty.

Sure. But we're talking semis here. Monaco didn't face Barca, Real, Bayern.. And to get to the semis without facing a top team means you're lucky. Especially if you're Monaco. Then they face us and they never even look like posing a real threat.

To be honest, I didn't see them in any of their league games, but what I saw in CL they are far from a top team. It doesn't matter in which place you put them this season, but the way they play chaoticly can't be played by a top team and will crumble at the first sight of a real top team.

On a separate note, any team coached by pep is not a top team, it might have individuals that are classes above everyone else and that's how they might win but as a unit and a team no team will ever be a top team under that oaf.

It doesn't matter, you can be a top team, a good one, a shitty one or one inbetween, it really doesn't matter, because they are not a top team. That's why it was most boring semifinal I ever watched with Juve. No drama before or after the game, because one is just a good-average team vs a top one the result is obvious.

They posed as much of a threat as Barca did.

And yes, they were lucky to a certain extent. But imo they've shown that they are better than the usual half-top teams (City and Dortmund) fit that category perfectly, and are second only to the very top: Real, Juve, probably Bayern & Barca.

Ok you mentioned Barca. Did Barca do any better against Juve?

There is an element of luck, but then Atletico didn't face any of those teams either in the knockout rounds, and when they did, they lost the first leg 3-0. So again, its all relative, there are very few teams who have had better results than Monaco.

Barca would have killed Monaco. Or you think otherwise?

There were only 2-3 really top teams this season, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich. You could make a case for Barca, but barely. Monaco and Atletico come after those teams.

This season?

It could go either way. This is a team that lost 3-0 to Juve and 4-0 to PSG.

They also lost to the "joke team" with their poor coach Pep.
