Tell you what, City are playing like an absolute different team compared to their previous sides since Pep arrived. Far more dangerous in attack and less lethargic in defense. Overall a very strong motivated team
You can hate him all you want but wherever he goes, he improves teams. They don't regress. The same applies to the players too. They improve both technically and tactically.

How did they regress? Because they didnt win a treble again? How many teams you know have won two trebles in the space of 3 years? Also why are you only using Bayerns last season as a yardstick? Why dont you compare all 3 years before pep with peps three years there? All of a sudden a different picture emerges.

Bayern definitely regressed under Guardiola but the reason they were so good in 12/13 is because they were on a mission to win the CL that season after losing to Chelsea in Munich in the final.
I have never seen a team run so much like that Bayern team did it was really incredible. After they won the CL perhaps the hunger just wasn't there any more.
It's clear to see there is no coach like Guardiola, the improvements to City in the space of a couple of months is massive compared to how they played under Pellegrini.

How did he improve them? He lost the SuperCup all 3 times, lost a DFB Pokal vs VW and didnt make a single CL final in 3 years despite inheriting an absolute monster team. Heynckes got a team from LVG that went out in CL from inter in the Ro.16, went out in the SF of the DFB Pokal to Schalke and only qualified for CL because Hannover choked in the last 3 games (and they fired Van Gaal for their last 3 games). Then Jupp takes over and makes them a CL finalist, DFB Pokal finalist and BL runner up in his 1st year against a Dortmund that was one of the strongest sides in Europe at that time (Pep didnt have such a strong team to compete against in his time). The year after they roflstomped everyone on their way to a treble. The other factor aside from lacking a superstrong Dortmund is he had an improved team (on paper) every single year. All this leads me to believe that Jupp would have made atleast one CL final in the past 3 seasons (the last one vs ATM most likely) and at the very least wouldnt get trashed 4-0 and 3-0 vs Real and Barca. Whatever everyone says, Peps time in München was a failure in my book
I agree. Pep is a great manager, but he is a little to stubborn at times, and thats what went wrong for him at Bayern. On the other hand Bayern Munich is such a massive club where the only acceptable is to win every game and all trophies just like Real Madrid, thats also why he is seen as a failure, all though if you only look at the Bundesliga he did well. But in todays football that aint enough for the biggest clubs to only win theyre domestic leagues, the CL is the thing that matters.

Im just glad he is gone. Like i said he is a great manager, but i was never convinced with him here. Maybe he can make City great, time will tell.

I think they're weaker now than when he joined them, definitely. But it's always easy to blame a coach. Fact is Robben and Ribery were in their prime when he arrived and have declined heavily since. Considering they were Bayern's two absolute star players, that has to mean something.
As for Pep being a world class coach... Well, he is. So is Mourinho. But both have also made a couple of very blatant mistakes because of their arrogance. With Mourinho it has come in the form of blaming his players. With Pep it is always trying to be a tactical genius (three at the back vs Barcelona, this Lahm in midfield nonsense..) and not being able to keep it easy.
