Pochettino may have a point in terms of trying once it was 2-1 but monaco was up there in terms of defence. According to squawka: Monaco made more defensive actions (69) than any other team.

Of course I dont know how they count that but if we felt Sevilla kept us at bay then teams like Monaco and probably even Sporting Lisbon could do the same. We certainly aint short of european clubs who know how to pull out a solid defensive performance.
