I'm sorry but as long as Tevez is being picked we will never play a 4-3-3, he cant play the lone striker role and requires a partner up front. That was my only problem with the guy when we signed him.
For as good as he is in Serie A, we were already winning the league without him so what has he actually added to the team? In Europe still has many question marks over him. So far he looks like a bully, demolishes the lower teams but when our backs are against the wall against teams willing to take the fight to us in Europe he is no where to be seen.
He was not the star player everyone was making him out to be, i remember Moggi saying Tevez wont fix our problems in Europe which he was right about so far. Tevez is not only to blame the team and coach as a whole have not been good enough i hope he can start to deliver in Europe the competition we need him in the most.

IMO he should sacrifice a little and learn to play on the wings. I dont care if that means him losing his spot as top scorer. We cant keep using this faulty system just to accomodate him to overrun Serie A rejects. We need a system that suits not only him and Pirlo, but everyone involved.

We wouldn't have won the scudetto last year without Tevez. Roma was very good last year and Vucinic was injured all the time. Imagine playing Giovinco in 352 as starter for the whole season.
Tevez is not the problem. He can play pretty much everywhere. The problem is he's left without support upfront and can't do everything on his own. He's not Messi nor CR7 dude. He needs support, more than without-form-Llorente. At the moment we simply don't have anyone better upfront.

In serie A we can play any formation and we will most likely win all games 1-0. And i know he is not the problem, but our formation as a whole, hence what im saying. He will never get support in this formation with this players...and we cannot buy a lot of top class players to make him stellar. We are in a clutch situation here and we need to use the personal we got.

His best position is striker though, fielding in him on the wings wont solve anything. Playing wide is a completely different role than playing centrally as a striker, Our players should be played in their best positions nobody should be playing in positions they are not comfortable with.

Most of our good attacks came from set pieces against Olympiakos which tells us everything we need to know about our attacking play.
We also have Pogba and Vidal, 2 of the best centre mids in the world continuously having to go out wide to cover the wing backs when they go forward and make a bad job of it anyway leaving Pogba and Vidal to clean up the mess if they break. That is a waste of 2 of the best midfielders in the world right there.

Meh he can perfectly work in a trident IMO. Call it 433, 4321 or 4312 - he can play in those formations with lots of success. He does play on the wings right now too - he roams everywhere. In 433 I propsed yesterday he'd play as a free role LWF. He can create chances for others and score himself too. He just needs support, especially in Europe. I proposed an attacking line: Tevez - Morata - Pereyra with Pogba - Marchisio - Vidal in midfield. I think it'd work very well in comparison to what we have now.

True. Morata's chances were easier, but Tevez is 10x the player Morata is in terms of finishing and killing the chance.
That said, I think Allegri should have started with Fernando instead of Morata.
