Had two very good chances, the one-on-one he was too quick to shoot, had he looked at the goaler, he would have seen he was already going down, and he could have gone around him easily.

The chance in the last minute of injury time, so frustrating, he could have probably taken it with his right towards the far post, but went with his left towards the near, and hit it badly.

Unlucky Apache...he will bounce back

He missed too many sitters tonight. On a positive note hardworking as always .
Agreed. He should've buried that 1 on 1 chance he had in the 2nd half.No excuse for that imo.

When there are people criticizing Isla for not scoring against Inter from that tight angle ,Tevez' should be criticized for his poor finishing as well.

That too, more than Isla, coz not only was his chance way easier, he's also a forward whose job is to be on the end of such a chance and finish it.

As annoying as Quag was yesterday he still put the ball in the net. Tevez has more chances and easier ones at that. He needed to score.

Everyone misses one-on-ones occasionally but the thing is to not make a habit out of it. He's been brought in to put those chances in the net, there's really no excuse for those kind of misses from a world class striker like him if they continue. Hope it was just his day off, giving him a pass. Fuerte Apache!

Yeah he is. Second striker but a striker nonetheless. You guys are forgetting his two +20 goals seasons for City. One in which he was actually the top goalscorer of the Premier League.

yes he is supposed to, and he has, thing is nobody converts 100% of their chances, and giovinco, vidal, pogba, and chiellini all were supposed to put their chances away simply because they are professional footballers

that was a bad miss, but even del piero missed chances like those. if it can happen to a god like player such as del piero, it can happen to a dirty peasant like tevez.

too many things went wrong last game anyway

Of course everyone misses chances, but I don't entirely agree with this.

Gio is a bench warmer who, including yesterday, has played about 25 min so far. According to his role on the team, I'll personally have lesser expectations of him.
Pogba, even though he's developing at an impressive rate, is still a kid. He'll make (a lot of) mistakes & he's allowed to.
Etc

Tevez on the other hand is our most important player, according to his pay check. He's the "fuoriclasse" that we have been missing the past few seasons. The guy who's supposed to win us games when we're struggling. I must have read 100s if not 1000s of posts claiming that exact thing (I know, those are not the most intelligent posts, but still :D).
And yesterday he failed. Simple as that.

That being said, I'm pretty satisfied with Tevez so far.

Thats what im going to say.

With Tevez, its a different kind of frustration when he has performances like yesterday. Pretty much like wuth del piero. Lemme explain.

When players like DP and Tevez have off days, of course people get mad at him, why not?. But, deep inside you know that this kind of players can miss a sitter, and minutes laters can do an unreal move and bury that ball into the enemy´s net. Why? Because they are talented and they are a guarantee, but they are not perfect.

Yes, IMO , Tevez missed unbeliavable sitters yesterday, but teh dude worked his ass off like always... and was the only true spark we had in attack from big periods of the game. Thats the mark of a good player... that even in bad games.. you always have the feel that he can produce at any moment. Consistency.

Tevez is a class above all of our other forwards, he is WC level, and players like him and Del Piero, dont need much chances to show what they can do. They are intelligent with the ball and their decition making is above the rest, this alone enhances the possibilities of a good play every game.

Im not worried. Bad game, lets move on. He will rip some more nets in the games to come for sure.
