Ofcourse Mourinho would do that.He manages a super rich club that spend gazillions on new players afterall. He wouldnt have any issue in freezing him out for a yr even if Tevez was his MVP.
freezing him out is way cheaper than letting him go for free though? :boh:
freezing him out: lost 4m
let him go for free: lost 15m

Letting him go for free=saving a lot of money on wages.

Freezing him out=still having the player on our books while he doesnt play a single game for us thereby getting nothing in return.

Common sense.

it would take him a while, but tevez would accept it and keep on playing.

its not like he desperately wants out...

also its more about making an example out of tevez.
if everyone knows he can move for free whenever he wants,
we will lose way more in the future.
players will be toying with us.
beppe has to stay strong.

Beppe is basically folding a game of Texas Holdem while having a Straight because he thinks his opponents have a Straight Flush but they only have 7 high

Plus he only thinks short term, often leaving clubs in shambles in the long run...
Yea it's totally Mourinho's fault that a club is in shambles after he left, not the trainer's who is in charge

Yep. This is the reason we cannot let him leave for free.

To me the situation is pretty straight forward. He has given his all for us, scored a ton of goals, been a match winner on many occasions, and taken us all the way to the CL Final. Before the season started we could never dream of that.

He told us from early o'clock that he wanted to go to Boca, so it's not like he all of a sudden is trying to screw us over. If he doesn't believe in the team getting to a CL Final again next year then he needs to leave, as we don't need people with that attitude playing for us, even though returning to a final right away is very unlikely. Motivation is huge in sports, and an unmotivated player is useless individually and also rubs off on others around him.

If he goes to Boca i will be fine with it and thank him for proudly wearing the #10 and performing for the team. It's his childhood dream after all. However, if he goes to PSG or Atleti, that's a different scenario and I could understand fans being pretty pissed off about that. Either way he has given his all and played amazingly for us while donning the #10 jersey, which is a lot of pressure. I'm grateful for his contribution and will respect his decision.

That is correct. He's insanely financially reckless. Teams like Madrid or Chelsea don't budge. Others are dragged down the gutter.

And Marotta has no leverage whatsoever, it's either holding a difficult character against his will, unmotivated and losing him on a free next year after possibly kicking up a few things (like at City) or being a compassionable club.

but he told us over and over again, not even long ago,
that he will respect his contract.
now all of a sudden he seems to think different.
I dont like tevez anymore.
If he likes Boca so much, he should go faster, so we can think of a good replacement.
