I think the Atletico talks and PsG links probably surfaced after those clubs probably got a sniff of him returning to Argentina, which seems like his most likely destination. The proble, with a return to Boca, is that nothing can really change his mind because it's a decision he's making with his heart. I feel like he probably told his teammates and the club about this decision already. In his mind, he also knows, this CL run in all likelihood will not happen next season, and if he's going back, he might as well leave on this high.

I'd feel bad for Carlitos to leave, and I think it's a huge loss for the club, because the frontline suddenly seems a lot thinner. That apart, a potential Pirlo departure, all in one summer, will certainly have a psychological bearing on the team and other players, which will look for new reference points. Clearly, there are very few adequate replacements for a player this important to the team, se are going to be in for a longer season than most of us would imagine. Dybala better be all that. And more.

I'm not too sure. We've just come off an amazing season, it's important for the club to show ambition to their players if we lose a marquee player like Tevez. Suddenly the entire frontline is just so young with too much pressure on them. Keep in mind the likes of Dybala and Berardi have never had the scudetto as an objective, so they don't know or understand pressure the way an experienced player with ability can. Carlitos makes it look effortless. Jackson Martinez is a stellar signing for Meelan, and if they sign Kondogbia. Simply wow. All this obviously means, we've got to make sure we first do damage control, and don't let anybody else leave, besides Pirlo and Tevez, and then go out and find somebody who will come close to making the kind of impact Tevez made here, while helping Dybala come into his own.

Tevez makes it look effortless? He's the one always putting in the hard miles is he?

And Berardi and Dybala have never had this pressure, true. But they also never played in teams that will dominate every domestic opponent for 80 minutes of the 90 to be played.

We'd miss Tevez' amazing leadership for sure, but we got our bases covered. And I'm not worried at all about Pirlo leaving. He left us with gaping holes against Barcelona.

I really think Dybala will do a great job replacing him. Thats the reason we got him after all!
i'm not sure beppe would put so much pressure on dybala.

if tevez and llorente leave and the guys from sassuolo arrive ( :tuttosport: ), we could have dybala (21), morata (22), zaza (24), berardi (21), coman (19, happy birthday btw) in attack. only morata has some international experience. i always said i do want the young players on the pitch, but we'd still need an experienced player in attack.

Totally agree ! if tevez is going to leave, we should get cavani, no matter how it's gonna cost us , cause next season we want to be good at champions league, and i dont think dybala can score against real madrid for now ..

Cavani will cost far too much. Our only hope is sending Tevez plus cash. But that won't happen
I know but the price is about 30-40 mill, he's 28 for gods sake.
plus we need him and he is not ok in psg, so he would come, the only problem is Naser al-khalifi.
If marotta is serious about cavani, we can see him in juventus, if he's going to buy zaza I dont think that's a good idea, we dont need overrated players. we have money now, and we should learn to spend it.

Just give Tevez what he wants!

Man deserves it! Didn't he take a paycut coming here? He earned his raise!

Take away 2.5mil from Llorente's 4.5, and give it to Tevez, then keep both. :donedeal:
